I would highly recommend Peter for any computer repairs. He is trustworthy and fair on his prices. He will do what it takes to get your computer back up to par and make sure he has a satisfied customer. I now have someone I can trust if I have future problems.

Clicked on a side note on my laptop asking about updating my drivers. BAD idea. After the malware hit it, I checked online to get bids at Thumbtack. I decided on Transcend Technology. I didn't know if it was a better repair place or not, so I chose Transcend by price. Great idea!
Turned in my computer that day, got it back the next afternoon. I knew that it might need to be wiped, due to the type of malware, and it did. But Peter Tran wiped it and got all of the necessary software reloaded. I am happy that I got my laptop back quickly and ready to go. I would encourage you to check him out as a first choice. TK

Very nice. I had a dead hard drive that my computer guy suggested I take to a data recovery specialist. Unfortunately, he was unable to repair my hard drive He went over and above to try to fix it.

I experienced a failure with my DVD drive on my 2-yr old. HP Envy 15t laptop, so I took it to a local shop in Katy to obtain a 'ball park' price to replace it. I was absolutely shocked when I was quoted a price that was nearly one fourth the original purchase price of my laptop (a shade over $ 800.00). They mentioned it would be much cheaper to use an external DVD drive, but I didn’t want to add more clutter to my desk with additional hardware.
While searching the web for repair shops, I came across Thumbtack and I thought to give it a try. Within ten minutes, I received two quotes. Peter Tran of Transcend Technology quoted me $ 45.00 to replace it, which was less the half of the price of the other proposal. I also called another shop in Katy for a rough repair estimate, but after describing my problem, they informed me they would call back within an hour or so. That didn’t happen.
I got in touch with Peter and visited his residence to confirm the problem with the drive. Sure enough, it was fried. I left the laptop with him and he called later that afternoon to inform me he had located a new drive. I advised him to order it, and with shipping cost added to the part, the total cost came to only $ 50.00 for the repair (part cost and his labor cost). The fix was completed five days later, and he also performed a minor tune-up on my laptop. Needless to say, it’s running ‘like new’, and I am really pleased with his services.
