My two sons take drum lesson from Mr. Paul Kush since they were in elementary school. One is in college now and the other is in high school. Of all the years, i have known Mr. Kush, he is very attentive and professionals with his students. We enjoyed him as a drum teacher and would highly recommend him to anyone of our friends and families!!

    Kush is Pretty Great
I was taught by Kush for years during my Middle School and High School years. He was extremely patient, he was helpful, and he always guided me through the songs as I learned how to play them and how to deal with more complicated beats and drum notes. He knew my limits and he understood how his students operated. Highly recommend him.

Both of my kids have been taking lessons with Paul for several years. Paul has helped them to not just grow as drummers, but as musicians and performers. He is an exceptionally skilled drummer, but also has the ability to teach young and old, across all skill levels from beginner to expert. Having witnessed Paul working with my kids from a very young age, as well as seeing him work with older beginners, I can say he definitely has the knack to reach all of his students in their own way. He knows the pace for beginners and how to challenge experienced drummers. Paul has played a vital role in my kids musical successes and continues to help them grow.

Paul has vast amounts of professional performing experience on which to draw upon. Not only can he play, but he can teach his technique and love of drumming to any age student. He is always patient and kind. If you take lessons from him, you will have lots of fun!!

Paul is a great drum teacher. I'm new to the drums and he has the patience of a saint. Sometimes we work on the same thing and he happily (he's almost always smiling) continues where you need to be working. He has a proven method of teaching that starts from music theory to working on songs and technique. Everything progressively gets harder and he shows you new techniques to go along with what you are learning. I know that he teaches more advanced students as well but I don't know his methods. The guy before my lesson is way further advanced and he seems to be happy with Paul too.

You were an excellent teacher, I was a depressed student. Your lessons were awsome, and inspiring. (circa 1984 Downey Music) Paul Lachance

Mr. Kush is an excellent music instructor. Connects easily with his students. Made it fun. And we reap the benefits of listening to the CDs he creates with the kids.

My son Anthony has been taking lessons for almost 7 years now. This year he will be receiving his Associates degree in music and he still chooses to continue seeing Paul. He has done so much more for him than just give lessons. Mr. Kush has recorded him, given him advice and even helped Anthony to know what to look for when he was trying to choose a college. He's has helped with material for auditions which also gave him confidence to do well. Paul teaches all types of music and so Anthony has never settled to learn just one type of music. He loves all genres and isn't afraid to try something new!! Thank you for being a mentor and friend!!
