Son took lessons from Paul, he is now in college pursuing music. Paul is an outstanding mentor and continues to be supportive of him. What I really liked is Paul did not focus on one genre, but encouraged a knowledge of all genres making for a well rounded music education. Paul was interested in his music knowledge and improvement. He helped develop a love for music and playing the drums. I highly recommend Paul.Mar 1, 2018
Paul is a great drum teacher. I'm new to the drums and he has the patience of a saint. Sometimes we work on the same thing and he happily (he's almost always smiling) continues where you need to be working. He has a proven method of teaching that starts from music theory to working on songs and technique. Everything progressively gets harder and he shows you new techniques to go along with what you are learning. I know that he teaches more advanced students as well but I don't know his methods. The guy before my lesson is way further advanced and he seems to be happy with Paul too.Aug 30, 2016
My two sons take drum lesson from Mr. Paul Kush since they were in elementary school. One is in college now and the other is in high school. Of all the years, i have known Mr. Kush, he is very attentive and professionals with his students. We enjoyed him as a drum teacher and would highly recommend him to anyone of our friends and families!!Oct 20, 2016
Paul has vast amounts of professional performing experience on which to draw upon. Not only can he play, but he can teach his technique and love of drumming to any age student. He is always patient and kind. If you take lessons from him, you will have lots of fun!!Aug 30, 2016

- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?I charge by the half hour for private lessons. Hour lessons are available for those that qualify. My pricing is competitive for what I offer. j I do offer discounts for those that have to drive over 15 miles to take lessons as well as for cash payments. I do offer credit card payments.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?Understand their current aptitude for playing. Start where appropriate and encourage to practice with techniques that insure the quickest learning curve. I do not use cookie-cutter programs. Each student is unique. I develop a specific customized program for each student.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I studied with Freddie Gruber, Buddy Rich's best friend and the premier teacher in Los Angeles. I also studied with Joe Porcaro. I have a music degree and relate the drums to other instruments in the band. I have played all over the country, Tahoe, Reno, Vegas, been on Decca Records, recorded T.V. Shows and many top 40 recordings in Los Angeles Studios over the years. I have worked with Aretha Franklin, The Righteous Brothers, Lalo Shifrin, Harvey Mason, Lee Ritenour, to name a few. I have a great deal of training and experience to share with my students.
