I hired Isreal through Thumbtack and I honestly couldn't have found a better trainer! Isreal immediately made me feel comfortable at the gym and worked with me to find a stable training schedule. He is very flexible and will work with you as little or as often as you need. He's available for sessions at his gym or sessions at your home/local park, whatever works best for you! I started out training 2 times a week but have quickly changed that to 4+ times a week. He's just that awesome. He is passionate about your fitness goals and will develop a training schedule to target your individual needs. Our first session consisted of some fitness tests (how many jumping jacks/push ups can I do, how many crunches in a minute, how long can I hold my plank, etc...). This helped him identify where I was at, physically, and what kind of exercises we should focus on moving forward. He's worked with me to identify a weekly meal plan, as well. We frequently review what I'm eating and how certain types of foods are affecting my body. Isreal goes above and beyond to ensure you are meeting your fitness goals, no matter what level you are at. He's always on time and will always make you leave sore as heck! I truly and honestly could not rave about this guy any more. I've had many trainers in my day and never had someone care so much about my fitness. You will not be disappointed, I promise!
Jose is an extremely professional individual who have I have trained with. He not only builds specific programs catered to your workout needs and goals, but also focuses on other aspects and integrates them with your current workout exercise such as your lifestyle, activities you do outside the gym (such as sports), eating habits, etc.. which is a first for me to see in any trainer. During my quest to find the best trainer out there for my needs, I found Alex Hernandez. I knew from my research that the qualities I was looking for in a trainer included experience, education, personality, the ability to communicate well and professionalism. I met with/spoke to several trainers through Thumbtack and outside of Thumbtack that unfortunately were lacking one or more of these qualities until I met with Alex who, as it turned out, had all the qualities I was looking for in a trainer. It also didn’t hurt that he offered a couple of free sessions. (I know this is a rather wordy review but if you are like me and prefer to do your due diligence before hiring a trainer, I think it’s worth the read.) Experience: Yes, having years of experience is great, which Alex has but what I most valued about Alex’s experience is that he had been through the same struggle of losing weight and figuring out how to establish and maintain a healthier lifestyle as I am going through now. Because of this, I felt Alex had a unique perspective as a trainer and would be able to better understand my struggle with losing weight and be better equipped to assist me through that struggle. Experience was also very important to me as I was coming to the table with several injuries that any trainer I selected would have to have the know-how on how to handle those injuries during training while still allowing me to make regular progress. After a couple of complimentary sessions with Alex, there was no doubt he had the necessary experience to help me. Education: In addition to having over a decade of experience in personal training, Alex also had the appropriate credentials. One of these credentials was particularly important to me, his NASM certification as a Weight Loss Specialist. (FYI - You can check a trainer’s credentials on the NASM website.) Beyond his certification education, Alex also educated himself on me. Alex took the time to ask me questions and learn about me, what I wanted to accomplish with training, what injuries or medical issues I had, what concerns I had, what my day-to-day life was like and what my nutrition looked like. For me, this meant Alex was asking all the right questions to educate himself on how best to help me. Personality: If you’re looking for a trainer who will yell at you like a drill sergeant, then Alex isn’t the trainer for you. If you’re looking for a trainer to handle you with kid gloves and baby you, then again, Alex isn’t the trainer for you. If you are looking for a happy medium between the two with a few jokes and quotes of encouragement thrown in, then Alex is for you. Alex is encouraging yet pushes you beyond your limits just enough every time so every session always contains progress. When I first started working with Alex, there was a particular exercise that he had to modify in order for me to complete. Recently, I was able to complete this exercise, multiple reps, without modification and he was more excited about it then I was. Who wouldn’t want a trainer like that, someone who is excited for you and your progress. Communication: Alex has been great about communicating with me since day one. I tend to have a lot of questions and Alex has always been very good about answering those questions for me whether during our training sessions or via text (in a timely manner). Unlike some trainers, he does not brush off your questions. Alex will regularly check on me after a session to make sure none of my injuries were exacerbated due to the session. It was important to find someone I could communicate well with because I knew my injuries would be a constant issue and I needed to be comfortable enough talking with my trainer and expressing when I felt the pain from a pre-existing injury was too much and/or when I felt I was just incapable of doing an exercise due to my injuries without feeling I was being judged by my trainer. I have found Alex to be very easy to communicate with. Professionalism: The last quality on my list was professionalism. I have had trainers who were physically inappropriate with me, I have had trainers who would talk badly about their other clients either in front of me to another person or directly to me, I’ve had trainers that would spend majority of my session texting/playing on their phone and paying no attention to me at all. I have never had any of these issues with Alex. During our training sessions, he has always conducted himself in a professional manner making sure the focus is always on me and my training. I honestly believe Alex is worth every penny as a trainer. I’m very happy I found him, that I have had the opportunity to work with him and that I now know what it is like to work with a real trainer. **As of this review, I have worked with Alex for 8 weeks. **I have lost inches and pounds and have gained muscle and strength. **Several aches and pains I had prior to my training with Alex has dissipated. (I used to get terrible ankle and shin pain walking to and from work every day which has subsided substantially since training with Alex.)
My trainer has put me through training excercise based on my needs and what I want for myself. Each part of my body is going through a excercise to make it a complete trasformation. My knees has become more stronger and no longer feel painful just from sitting, my core haslost inches and I ssleep better at night. This has been one of my best decision to start and stay committed. I have been training with Ricky for a little over 3 years now. When I started with him I was 10 months post-op from having an L5-S1 Anterior Lumbar Fusion (back surgery). For ten years I had issues with my back, throughout my entire 20's I felt like I had the body of an unhealthy 80 year old. I was in pain all the time. I could not exercise or do most things people my age were doing without "paying for it" during the following weeks. I had heard about Ricky from some friends and they all spoke of him very highly. I was very skeptical about training because of my history with back pain, but eventually I was talked into at least giving it a try. The first time I worked out with Ricky, we talked extensively about my concerns and about my surgery. He developed a program to help me strengthen my core to help support my back and lessen the pain. When I started I couldn't run more than a couple of minutes, could barely squat 85 lbs. more than once and was still dealing with back pain. Within 6 months of training with Ricky I was running 2 miles, squatting 225 lbs 10 times and I no longer had back pain 24/7. Due to a new job and hectic travel schedule, I had to take a 10 month hiatus from the gym. However, I've since returned to the gym and part of that decision was due to that "sneaky" back pain I felt returning. Since being back in the gym the last 3 months, I am doing things I never thought possible. I am already up to running 3 miles every workout and I feel great. My strength is also returning rapidly. Training with Ricky was one of the best decisions I ever made, he has changed my life! People workout with trainers for all different reasons, I chose to do it because I wanted to take control of my body and be pain free. Ricky Jackson helped me achieve this goal. In addition, working out has helped to increase my self-esteem and confidence in my abilities.
I trained with Jennifer Koch at 24 hr fitness. She is a fantastic trainer. She consistently wore me out every workout I had with her. I really liked how she changed up the workouts each time and we never did anything twice. She definitely pushed me harder than I thought I could go, which made for an even better workout. I highly recommend her as a trainer.
It's been 3 mos since I started training with Akshay 4 times a week. I have worked with trainers before at 24 hrs and privately..but there is no question he is the best. His technique is excellent and gives knowledge when asked or required and that's huge foe me . Great personality and never in your face. He has been punishing me for 3 mos and I keep goin back for more because I see the results. He is cool and easy but has a knack to make you slog and that matters. The best trainer yet.
I have been training with Will for just over 3 weeks now. In that short time, I have already learned so much, and I feel strongly that working with Will is one of the best health decisions that I have made. Will teaches me the fundamentals of strength training and fitness that many other trainers overlook the need to do. He helps me to understand the basics of how and why my body works the way that it does before, during and after training. Will unselfishly approaches my fitness with regards to my goals and what I hope to achieve through my workouts; and he teaches me that fitness is a journey, not a destination. Will is a highly motivating trainer and is skilled in knowing how hard to push his clients to enable them to achieve desired results. Will is patient, committed, cognizant of my abilities; and he literally works beside me and with me throughout my workouts unlike other trainers who walk away from their clients and/or act indifferent during training. Will is always actively engaged in his sessions and is more than worth the investment in my health. I have been training with Fitness Stop for more than 2 years. Following their nutrition guide and training with Robert, I lost 30 pounds and went from flabby to strong. I have never had such great abs. The best part is that the trainer comes to you, so you don't have to motivate yourself to get to the gym. All the trainers that I have worked with have taken me through challenging and efficient workouts. They are always friendly and encouraging. Working with Fitness Stop is actually fun!

Ashleigh was chosen from a bundle of personal trainers to be our official trainer for our Real Women, Real Results Houston weight loss contest for I-REMOVE. She did wonderfully! Each of the ladies she worked with had so many amazing and great things to say about her too. All together they lost 48lbs across 4 ladies and that is wonderful! She worked with them on an individual basis and even put together a home routine for one contestant that couldn't make sessions. She did everything in her ability to help these ladies succeed and worked with various levels of fitness too. Ashleigh has even helped our company (InQpharm North America) internally by giving our office material for blogs, and helping us to come up with some in office exercises we can do to stay moving all day. You can't go wrong hiring Ashleigh, she was wonderful.
Jose is an amazing personal trainer. I didn't realize how important is food for life. He taught me to eat healthy. It is not about a meal plan. I finally changed my life losing weight and now I know what and when to eat. Definitely great trainer, great nutritionist and great human being!!!

After 3 years of being in and out of the gym I was looking for something other than the typical bench press, squat, and curls workout to get back in shape. After meeting with Mac for 5 minutes I knew he would be able to provide the knowledge, variety of workouts I was looking for and get this dad bod back in shape. He always keeps our workouts new and interesting and pushes you to the edge so you get a quality work out. If you want want a professional trainer work with Mac. I promise your muscles will be so sore they feel good and you will be flexing in the mirror in no time.
Alan is very responsive to calls and text messages about questions I may have. On my first session he got to know my goals and had a short workout session that I feel the next day just what I was looking for. His process is very professional compare to other personal trainers I've been to he's professional with his job. He takes your initial measurement and body fat percent to track your progress along the way
