FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
No specific system. All fees are negotiable.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Let's assume a client has an older home that he wants to upgrade. which generally means redoing the kitchen and baths and perhaps moving a few walls. We would establish a budget and a fee for my services. and I would begin the design, with continuing input from the client. I would prepare complete construction drawings and specifications and assist in obtaining bids from more than one contractor. A contract would be prepared that would carefully spell out exactly what the contractor would do. I would monitor the construction on periodic visit to the jobsite, confering with the contractor to assure that the construction is following the contract and resolving any difficulties that may come up. I would review the contractors payment requests, assuring that they represent the work completed to date. Arter completion of the work I will make a final inspection noting any item not completed according to plans and specifications and upon completion of the punch list certify to the owner that final payment should be made. This process would basically be followed regardless of the size and extent of the project
