I give piano or harp lessons to students within various ages and levels. I also teach the students the important fundamentals that are required to read any sheet music well.
My son has really enjoyed taking cello lessons and looks forward to it every week!
Ms. Im is an amazing teaching with lots of patience with kids, my girls start piano lessons with her and she made them love playing music and the lessons so much fun!
Have had one lesson and she is knowledgeable, patient, and immediately was able to direct me to harps for sale and rent in the area. She even took time to look at and evaluate harps in person. Highly recommend!! She is also mindful of teaching correctly to minimize physical problems that can occur with incorrect positions of body and arms/hands! Blessings!

My 8 year old daughter has been taking piano from Amy for 2 years and I am amazed at how far she has come! Amy has a way of making each student feel like they are her number one priority.
Hope was an excellent add to our celebration. She was personable, prompt but most of all she is an excellent harpist. She played almost non stop for 3 hours and the music was beautiful. Everyone at the birthday party commented on what wonderful background music a harp made.
I've been studying piano and harp proficiently for 17 years. I am currently studying at the Moores School of Music in Houston for my Bachelor of Music degree.
My 5 yr old daughter was initially shy but appeared to open up by the end of the lesson by singing her favorite song. I think Robbie did a good job considering she is rather stubborn and would rather focus more on just singing than on the technical aspects of how to improve one's voice. She is just 5 so we'll see how future lessons pan out.
I had the opportunity to meet and hear Elizabeth preform recently at a exquisite functional affair. I've always enjoyed the beautiful sound of harp music, and being so close to see the technique and discipline in playing any instrument has always been viewed by me as a wonderful opportunity. In this case, Elizabeth was beyond patient with all of my questions and was able to explain many aspects of the instrument and technique that I was never aware of. I was actually being facetious when I asked if she took requests and proceeded to request Led Zeppelin - to which she went to her sheet music playlist and played the most beautiful rendition of 'Stairway to Heaven'. Needless to say, I was pleased beyond amazed, as were the others in attendance that came up to comment on their joy of hearing such a enchanting rendering. Elizabeth: I hope to contact you in the future to see if you would entertain playing something that I wrote! I'd love to hear it. I've already mentioned you to numerous people at multiple functions. I don't think anyone could be anything overjoyed with your abilities with this instrument.
With a diverse private studio in the Houston area, Therese Honey enjoys teaching both children and adults on pedal and lever harps. She is a dynamic teacher who inspires and motivates her students to develop strong musicianship skills and good harp technique in all styles of music. Her students learn about performance attitude and preparation, harp repertoire, the history of the harp, proper harp maintenance, and practical aspects of a music career. In addition to weekly lessons at her Rice University area studio, Therese's students participate in frequent performances, including recitals, competitions, orchestra and harp ensembles.
In addition to performing on the harp, I experience a satisfying thrill in my work when I perceive a student takes pleasure in the learning process. Harp is not an easy instrument to learn, but my desire is to convey to students that investing time and effort in an instrument that they love is always worth it. I encourage their love for the harp, which in turn establishes a connection with the instrument that remains even through the daily grind of practicing. My philosophy is this: if a student can genuinely take pleasure in the harp sound and simple accomplishments that come from daily practice, that student will continue with harp and consider the work worth the reward. The reward: making a beautiful sound that few can create, but all wonder at its charms.
