I am generally not the kind of guy who writes reviews, but Mike has a rare gift for training dog. Jethro, my 1 year old German Shepherd needed to learn the basic commands. We have had Jethro back from training for several months and he stays and heels as he is supposed to. Call Mike if you want your dog trained well.
She takes her time training my dog! I enjoy it!
Mike and family at barks 5th Avenue have changed our life with our german shepard. She was wild and we thought we were going to have to give her away. There training gave our dog fina....another chance to be truly a house dog with manners. I can't thank them enough they are truly professional dog trainer. I would recommend them to everyone....my friend also had his dog trained there with the same results. Once again if you need a referral to call me that is not a problem
Lee is very energetic and patient both with the Dogs and with us people!! She is very thorough and observes our dogs behaviours while training and tailors the training to our specific needs.
I work with a rescue dog that has had a bite case filed against him and was given Amy's name as one that can work with this type of behavior. She came out yesterday to see him and the other dogs in my home - training all of them together. She quickly identified the one dog as Fearful/Aggressive and Protective/Aggressive and then showed me how the behavior manifests, how to bring it out, how to address it. It was a fantastic session working with my group as a pack but still addressing each dog's needs. She will come back in a few weeks and see how well I have done continuing the work and working on a few more items. This was incredibly valuable and I look forward to gaining continued insight while working with Amy.
We have 2 dogs, both are under 1 year, that were in desperate need for some obedience training. They basically ran the house and were both starting to become destructive and unruly. The fact that Nick would come to our house when it was convenient for us was awesome since the idea of dragging 2 dogs to a packed training class on work nights was not ideal. Nick suggested the use of both training collars and shock collars which have really helped in getting the dogs to behave and follow commands. Nick also helped me understand how my behavior was only making the dogs worse. One thing to keep in mind when hiring a dog trainer is that you are a big part of the training once the trainer leaves. We have been active in their training and are seeing dramatic results so far. Nick was always accommodating to our schedules, always on time and very professional.
Ty is excellent with dog training. Zeus just loved her from the minute she walked in the door and she taught us so much in just the first lesson that he is already well on the way to heeling perfectly and is so much calmer when we take him outside. She is so patient and understanding of dogs, it's like she speaks their language. We couldn't have asked for a better trainer. We would very highly recommend K9 to everybody who wants the best in dog training.
I had a doberman, Rose, that was a challenge to walk. She did not go out for walks. I found Come and Train It K9 and now Rose and I go for walks! John and Courtney really understood Rose and gave us the tools we needed to be successful. The team is extremely professional and genuinely wanted to make sure we were successful. I learned about my own shortcomings when it came to my with and toward Rose. I very much recommend Come and Train It K9 to anyone who has a dog with challenges. Rose can go out for walks now.....life is much better for her! Thank you John and team!
First session was this week, we discussed what my problems were with my boxer to determine what needed to be done. she and her husband worked as a team with my dog and i could see results just after the first visit. i feel confident she will be able to help me to get my puppy on the right track of obedience.
Myself, my family and our pets have been customers of Tri-County K9 Academy for over 12 years. Whether our dogs are just starting obedience training, are working out for a dog trial, if we have a pet we have a behavior issue we need help with, or if I need assistance with my Service Dog, both Darryl and Tammy have been patient, excellent instructors and their daughters are great helpers. The environment at Tri-County K9 is set up to be safe, educational and rewarding for both animals and humans. They have watched over several of our dogs when we have had to leave town on short notice and we have always come home to happy, clean dogs that you can just tell had a well rounded fun time. Tri-County K9 Academy is an excellent experience for all whether you are training with your own dog, having your dog trained, adopting one of the many dogs rescued and rehabbed at Tri-County, needing boarding, or becoming a better dog owner. Tri-County K9 Academy should be your first stop for all your K9 needs.
I would definitely recommend Pilla's Pet Services, very reasonable, friendly and super knowledgeable! I promise, you won't be disappointed. I have 2 young boys and 2 fur babies at home , 1 of which is a Great Dane. We brought Ema home at 3 months she was the cutest puppy Ever weighing 25lbs. We always thought it was cute how she would run and jump on us or how she would jump so high to look out the window. Well as the months passed Ema grew so fast weighing 100lbs before her 1st birthday. She was out of control, and hard to tame, she would knock us down, she's broken windows, destroyed mini blinds and would eat anything that we left unattended. It got to the point where we were scared of her due to her size and strength. Ema use to pull us while walking her and would choke herself out, we couldn't take her out in public due to her behavior. I read a review a neighbor posted about Pillas Pet Services and decided to give them a call. I called I was in touch with Pilla and told her about Ema , I filled out a form and then was scheduled for a home consultation 2 days later. After the consultation we signed Ema up for the 6 week Dog Obedience Training. From day one Ema was ready to train with Pilla and I, something that I thought was impossible with her since she was already 1 year old. Ema would be so excited to see Pilla and was ready to train, conquering all the commands and games Pilla had in store for us. We now take Ema out in public for walks, and she now knows that we are in control and not her. Pilla has mastered the art of dog training and their owners . She helps you better understand your dog and how to communicate with your dog. Your are not expected to learn everything in one session, Pilla assigns homework for the week until her next visit. I am proud to say that Ema will be graduating Today and has Mastered Dog Obedience training class.
Cassidy is great with my dogs. We have had issues with trainers in the past but knew it would be different from the first time we met her! Our dogs love her and she is always available to use day or night when we have questions!
Took my Cavalier King Charles spaniel at 5 months old to Vivian for puppy training and continued with 3 additional 6 week classes. Vivian was great in training me on how to work with my dog and also in getting us prepared for being certified as a therapy pet. Very pleased with the results.
Got my dog started on walking and avoiding some distractions. I was very pleased. Explained every part of the training and why.
Dog training, fitpaws, dog boarding
Sarah is absolutely amazing! Where do I begin? As soon as you start speaking with Sarah you can immediately tell how much her profession means to her. It is clear that she is in it for the dogs and it’s obvious that she is doing exactly what she was meant to do. She will take the time to explain to you the reasons behind doing things which helps to give you a better understanding of the training and your dog. If you are looking for a dog trainer, I highly recommend Sarah!
Terry, the dog trainer, has been a great dog trainer. I have tried out many in and around the area where I live, and have never had any success. This time I am seeing successes that I never thought possible. My dog is making great strides. Yes, she has a long way to go, and so do I, but with Terry's help, I believe we are achieving that goal well. Terry is very professional, yet very down to earth, and will talk to you about what he wants you to do. He models everything for you, then he gives you the leash and lets you do the work with your dog. He offers good information and helps you to correct the areas in which you might be doing something wrong. He also seems to do so until he sees you are getting it right. He explains well, and he doesn't just say ok, now you do it. He observes closely and helps you. His work quality is tip top, and he is very responsive to the dog's needs as well as any needs the owner has in working with the dog. He knows what he is doing, and he knows how to teach people . Terry is rarely ever late, but if for some reason, he is going to be a few minutes late, he always calls me to let me know this. Value can mean one of two things to me. I always think of it in a monetary way first, and as far as the money that I have spent and am spending, I believe these lessons are a great price for the money. I think they are worth every penny I have put out for them. I think about not only being worth the money for the lessons, but when I think about it, this man drives all over the place, and the price is worth it for the 35 - 40 mi drive he makes to come help and teach me to teach my dog. I realize too, that he has expenses, and he has to pay for gasoline, so the monetary price I pay is definitely worth it. I really cannot express what kind of value Terry and the lessons exhibit on a teaching and content level. I think this is the most valuable thing I have learned in a long time. I cannot measure the value that the lessons have for my dog and me. I believe she feels like she has more structure, and I am feeling positive and excited , because I am learning to be her leader instead of the other way around. I am also feeling more respected by her. I am so happy that I found Always Faithful Dog Training and that I have Terry to help me and show me how to handle my dog !
I can not say enough about how AWESOME Sheena is when it comes to training your dog. We have a Cane Corso and she is the best. I love her climb command. Several times I have had a contractor or someone come in and they had no ideal she was even there. One guy asked me if she was real because she had been so still and quiet. I can have a house full of kids running around and if I put her in a down command or climb she never leaves that command. I never knew how great it is to have a well behaved dog. Shenzi walks so well on her leash heeling perfectly. If you are having any issue with your dog or need any kind of training. I highly recommend Sheena. I took Shenzi in to be groomed at a pet store and everyone in there was complimenting on how well behaved she is. The owner wanted to know who my trainer was so she could send some of her clients to her. No matter where we go I always get compliments on her behavior. Love Love Love what she has done for Shenzi and our family. Thank You Sheena!!!
Chelsea & Ty are professional dog trainers and lovers of all breeds. I wanted training provided in my own home in the circumstances and day-to-day situations encountered by my dog. Pugs can be stubborn to say the least and Modern K9s proved their integrity, quality, and ingenuity. They were eager to respond to questions or concerns at any time. I also sent my pug for a "refresher" when I had an extended trip. I think he came back home and thought home was a little boring. My dog was always eager to work with the trainers and they taught the two of us very well. I don't hesitate to recommend their service.
Matt was wonderful from the get go. He came and introduced himself before watching our dog shiner. It's always important to feel comfortable with the person watching your home and animals. Matt made the process effortless and without worry. We recommend him to anyone needing pet services.
