After being extremely disappointed in the drywall and painting work done by a previous contractor, I hired Isaac Delcid to redo the previous contractor's work and then continued to use him on one project after another. Not only did he make the walls that were floated and painted by the prior contractor perfectly smooth, he astounded everyone working on my renovation project by being able to float an extremely textured room and ceiling to a perfectly smooth finish. On a Sunday, He even provided free examples of how the finished wall would look because I had a hard time believing it could be floated smooth. Later, his tile expert installed some challenging tiles in a bathroom at no charge to demonstrate that these tiles could also be installed with a perfectly smooth surface. I was amazed enough to have Isaac Delcid's crew rip out all of the tiles in three other bathrooms that were poorly done by a previous contractor and reinstall them perfectly. Well worth the money. Isaac Delcid is an extremely good communicator, generates professional proposals, is able to do the work quickly and efficiently, and never fails to impress me. I have had at least nine contractors on this project and Isaac Delcid is definitely the best in the business. I almost regret writing this positive review, because I want to keep him for my own projects only!
This was one of the absolute best experiences I`ve ever had with a contractor! The roofing repair work was exceptional and everyone was so professional and friendly. We were given so much good information and recommendations for future additions and cost saving items we should install ourselves. Rider and his team really care about their customers and will be my first call for any future repair needs and we will also be hiring them in the future to replace our entire roof. They really should be your One Call, you won`t be disappointed!
These guys know concrete! I had them pour a 14'x65' slab 5" thick under an existing lean to off of an existing barn. I requested an estimate and the company responded quickly. We set up a time that worked for me and he was on time, professional and took the time to explain how the work needed to be done and why. He also inquired about what would be on this slab and how it would be used so that the right psi of concrete would be used to prevent problems in the future. I recieved estimates from four different companies and two of the contractors wanted considerably more money for the same job using the same materials. He was able to beat my lowest estimate. I was slightly concerned about them being able to do the same job at so much less than some of the others and wondered if quality would suffer. I can tell you the quality definitely did not suffer! They did a wonderful job and it looks great! What I never told them is that I was previously a lab technician for concrete. I was responsible for observing concrete contractors in the Woodlands pouring roads and my job was to ensure the contractors did not try to cut corners and to ensure that the concrete is the right mix and consistency. This is acheived through several break test, slump test and air in the concrete. So I know a little more about concrete than I let on and I can tell you these guys to it right from preperation to rebar the the actual concrete itself. If you need concrete work done hire this company they do great work!
We had the hardest time getting someone to come out and pour a slab for us... within 5-min of posting on thumbtack, we received a bid and a phone call from this contractor. The work was quick and efficient. The contractor and his crew were very polite. The slab is great and we will soon be having hours of fun on our new family outdoor chessboard! I would definitely use this contractor again!!!
I hired Fernando Saucedo Company to make my vision of a concrete pathway beside my home come to life. My vision was of a nice clean design pathway which consist of 24" x 54" concrete slabs divided by 4" river rocks for a steady walkway. Now, this project had many PROs and CONs to which I will speak mostly on the PROs. The main thing one should know when hiring Fernando Saucedo Company is they were VERY professional and reliable from the very first meeting until job completion. *** PROs: 1. Mr. Saucedo came out and spent a good amount of time talking to me to figure out the best way to do this project so it had excellent drainage and a nice appearance. Good communication all the way around which is very important for contractors to do. 2. Mr. Saucedo and his parter Mr. Antonio is polite, nice, and respectable. 3. The price was GREAT and comparably lower than 5 other estimates I received. This is a smaller run company so they don't have the extra overhead cost as other do. 4. Mr. Saucedo returned calls and/or texts within a timely matter. 5. Mr. Antonio was tidy and extremely detail oriented. He wanted to give me the exact concrete finish that I wanted. 6. They was totally open to suggestions along the way. 7. They address any to all of my concerns. 8. They completed the job in less then three weeks. 9. When they were called back to fix a couple minor issues they again showed how reliable and professional they were. 10. Mr. Saucedo told me he is willing to take on all sizes of jobs, including smaller jobs that other masonry contractors won't. Him and his parter Mr. Antonio take pride in all of their jobs, no matter how large or how small. ***CONs: 1. I did not find out until day two when cement was poured that this (my project) was they first time doing a concrete slabs pathway but you would never have know that by looking at the end result. 2. This project was physically demanding for only two guys but with my help we pull it off and completed the job. Overall, I were satisfied with their work and highly recommend Fernando Saucedo Company and will surely use them in the near future. We need to reward small business that manages to be both honest and high quality, because so few exist. If you choose to use Fernando Saucedo Company you will not be disappointed.
Perfect experience with Tell Projects. Worst experience with one of their contractors. 1st let me say that I give 5 stars to Tell Projects for my sunroom renovation. Everything went perfect from the estimate to the final project. I also wanted my bathroom renovated and decided to use Tell Project's contractor Luis Moreno. He told me he could do the renovation for cheaper than the estimate I was given by Tell Projects (HE LIED), after he started the bathroom renovation EVERYTHING was considered "extra" and this is where the DISASTER started. I had to not only purchase the glass shower door, vanity, and the closet door on my own, but he also asked for more money because he claimed he spent alot of money on the tile "he insisted on picking the tile for the shower". He used kitchen plumbing under my vanity sink (leaked after 1st day), his "father in law" installed my shower faucet backwards ( I now get burned when I turn the water off), AND all of my tools are missing because they kept using my tools and never returned them. I knew this was a disaster when I walked in and saw the person installing the shower door watching a YOUTUBE video on how to install it. In the end, I had to hire a plumber to install the plumbing under my sink, a shower door specialist to re-install the shower door so that it closes properly, and apply silicon for the leaks around the shower door. DO NOT use LUIS MORENO for any projects! He never finished my bathroom and took my money without finishing the job. I have nothing but good words for Tell Projects. But don't use their contractor Luis Moreno. You will be sorry!
Will contacted me within minutes of my post. He came to my house on a Sunday afternoon to give me a final price. He had already given me an estimate over the phone. He brought samples to the house for my wife to choose from. The deal was done in about 30 minutes. I have worked as a contractor for years in the past. I recognized that Will had the ability to handle a lot of things going on at once. I let him know I understood what he has to deal with and that I had a lot of respect for contractors who could juggle things like I seen he has to do. My assessment of W.C. Granite works is based on all aspects of the experience. Last of which is going to be the installation of the granite. My wife and I felt comfortable with the crew he sent. They were very proficient at what they were doing. They were careful around the house. They communicated well with us. I had an immediate sense of trust towards them. The next time I have Granite work to do I will be calling Will for sure.
I wish that all the contractors were like Scott at Houston Area Concrete. He responded so fast to every phone call or text. He never talked down to me. He followed my instructions which were numerous because I had 6 concrete slabs of various sizes to pour on my acreage property in one project. He was cautious around all of the underground lines that I marked for him. He made my wife so very happy by giving her an "S" curved front sidewalk. He took a verbal concept and made it happen. (I'm a hero at home now thanks to Scott.) The price was very fair. And just as a finishing touch, he moved some excess dirt to right where I needed it without me even needing to ask him to do that. He has a great crew. They are quiet, efficient, and get about their business the moment that they step out of their truck. He did what he said he would do in terms of thickness and rebar. He showed up when he said that he would. He did all of the work in one day. And he left me with instructions on how to treat the concrete as it cures. What more can you ask for?
We had a brick patio installed. To do this, David Torres had to remove paver brick cobblestone, and several square feet of flagstone, plus patio furniture and many large containers of plants. He also removed 2 trees. David leveled the construction site completely. He had to work in a very confined space but managed without any complaints. His workers were very friendly and helpful and everyday, left the job site as neat as possible. David and his crew did a very good job! It was a difficult area to stage and work around. Had to bring all the material down a narrow alley. We are pleased with the quality of the construction and it is very sound. Exactly what we wanted. David is easy to communicate with and very friendly and tireless and will not stop until you are satisfied with his mason work. David is a real professional and truly pleasant to work with. We named him "the gentle giant". I'd be glad to discuss further and provide pictures of his brick work. Begin forwarded message: From: "Thumbtack.com" Subject: Did Torres Construction do a good job?
I couldn't have asked for a better experience than the one I had with Modern Aztec Construction LLC. I hired them to repair my driveway, and through every step of the process they provided nothing but exceptional, professional, and outstanding service. Esaul & Hippolito were two of the nicest, most dependable, punctual contractors I have ever had the pleasure to work with. I will definitely be calling Modern Aztec for any work I might need in the future. You can count on these guys!
As a divorced woman I take on every project with a fair amount of anxiety because I know that men handle men differently in this realm. Once I decided to renovate my master bathroom I read th articles, scanned the magazines and scheduled 6, yes 6 contractors. The experience was a culmination of highs and lows.. high estimates , low excitement. WhenCorey came by for the appointment, he was punctual, humble, courteous, honest and understanding of what I desired for my budget. In short, he delivered above and beyond what I expected in aesthetics and quality. I became a part of the entire process ( learning about the materials I preferred pros/cons etc..) and how the end product would flow with my taste and the rest of my home. I no longer have anxiety about "male-dominated" projects because LaStourgeoun delivered. Signed, Completely Satisfied Customer
I called a couple different companies to get a quote for adding sprinklers to my yard, as well as add some landscaping and possibly turf. SafeWater Services was by far the most knowledgeable, reasonably priced and just nice people in general. I will be calling them again when I do my outdoor kitchen and pretty much for any outdoor construction.
Demolition of old driveway and hideous porch by previous owner, was a lot of work. Install of new three car wide driveway very nice work. Work progress was fast with good weather owner is hard worker, pricing was good with quality also helped to obtain permit. I think good communication is key when working with contractors so you get no surprises in this case we talked everyday on work progress and noted extra work which can not be foreseen, also I had extras as job was done overall I would recommend Sanchez construction.
Eric was a great contractor to work with. Even though there were a few issues with the back yard patio. Eric was fantastic in getting the problem fixed. He stayed in regular communication while waiting on supplies to arrive and the weather windows to open up. He did everything necessary to fix the problem and went above and beyond what was needed to make things right! I would highly recommend him for future work and would easily use him again. Its hard to find great people to work with and even harder to find honest hard working people who take pride in the work they do and value their reputation!
Puente's Masonry was professional and did quality work. They answered every question and communicated every step of the way to make sure I understood the process. They were nice polite and cleaned up after the job was finished. I'd hire them again.
I am glad I selected Canteira for the job. They did a very professional job in a timely manner. I will have no hesitation in recommending them to others for masonry work.
I’ve had my share of issues with contractors. This was by far the best experience from beginning to end. The work he did was phenomenal. I had a cheaper offer but his professionalism and punctuality won me over. My kids and I thank you for the basketball court.
It is a rare experience indeed when you're genuinely happy working with a contractor. I recently had a new roof installed and needed to get some fascia boards replaced. Big Tyme Construction (Cory) came out to assess the work needed. He sent me a written estimate the next day. Big Tyme crew showed up the next rain-free day. I was very impressed and appreciative of the care they took working around my brand new shingles. Truth be told, the fascia board work should've been done before the roof install but that didn't deter Big Tyme crew from getting the job done to my satisfaction. They went above and beyond to make sure I was taken care of. I highly recommend BigTyme Construction.
About a year ago, while searching online for a general contractor to renovate a home of mine, I came across Brivenca Builders and decided to take a chance and hire them to do the job. It was a 2600 sq.ft. home in a high rise building and we completely gutted it and rebuilt it. Fast forward one year, and we have now completed three projects together. Edwin and his team are professional, timely, meticulous, and very easy to work with. I have always been able to rely on them to manage, and get the job done, and done right. I have worked with other General Contractors over the years who are a little less expensive, but, I have learned that you get what you pay for, and in many instances, I end up paying more in the long run trying to fix their mistakes. I highly recommend Brivenca to anyone looking for a full service, professional company for their renovation needs.
I had a water get behind my wall under a window stucco causing a stucco problem. Masonry and Stone were able to demo it, replace the plywood and did a great job replacing the stucco so well and blends perfectly into the wall.
