Introduction: My name's Patricia Queiroz and I'm from Brazil (Rio de Janeiro). I'm a qualified teacher. I'm able to speak English and Spanish.
I've been teaching Portuguese to speakers of other languages for around 9 years. Besides being a teacher I'm also a neuro language coach who can help you to learn according to your style and faster and more effectively.

I'm not the best Portuguese student because I don't always do my homework but Patricia is always encouraging and creative to keep me engaged. She knows that I'm a samba dancer and interested in Brazilian culture, history, and dance. She crafts homework around topics that are interesting to me. She breaks down the language in an accessible way and she is happy to answer questions between lessons. I highly recommend her and I've referred her to many other students. Her rates are fair and competitive as well.

I am very pleased with my classes with Patrícia. She always gives me engaging homework in areas of of my personal interests using a variety of different ways such as videos, songs, books to teach Portuguese im addition to grammar lessons. She is very accommodating and flexible. The lessons are very affordable .I am given much time use what I have learned every week . I very much enjoy the classes and highly recommend Patrícia .

As an advanced Portuguese as a second language student who has worked with several instructors over the years, I can say without reservation that Patricia is by far the best.
She takes the time to understand the skill level, learning style and objectives of her students and tailored dynamic classes and exercises. This is no surprise since she is a certified neurolanguage coach, a former Portuguese language teacher in Brazilian schools, and also fluent in English.
Patricia’s deliberate approach to instruction and her relational style facilitates learning and comprehension more effectively and at a faster pace. It is obvious Patricia enjoys her work which makes learning with her even more fun.

I have been taking Portuguese lessons for over a year and I am always impressed by the way that Patrícia evaluates the needs of each of her students to make for a total language experience. She encourages me to not just learn words and tenses but to speak in a way that would allow me to navigate Brazil. She checks in to see if there are any special needs, like when I traveled to Brazil and tailored my lessons leading up to the trip to be effective for what I would need for traveling such as getting through customs, ordering in restaurants, shopping, and asking for directions. She will work with you on your goals in speaking, keep you on track, and challenge you to be the best student and language learner that you can be!

- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
The lessons are paid monthly before the first lesson of the month. If you have more than 2 hours per week, I can offer you a discount.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We always offer a free lesson so the students get to know a little of our method and teachers and we also get to know the student's style and goals.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Patricia Queiroz is a qualified Brazilian Portuguese teacher, highly experienced (more than 20 years teaching Portuguese and English). CELTA teacher. Besides she is a certified neurolanguage coach.
