Introduction: I became a teacher because it has been a passion of mine for as long as I can remember. I guess you could say it is in my blood because my grandmother, great-grandmother, and great aunt were all teachers. I feel that as a teacher I am given the opportunity to help change lives and inspire students to always aim to give their best in all they do. When I teach it is my goal to have my students fall in love with the content I am teaching because it is my hope they see the passion and love I have for the content. I am a Houston-area-based teacher; my teaching career began in Atlanta, teaching 10th and 11th grade English. Shortly after which I moved to the Houston-area and began teaching 11th grade English. Since living in the Houston-area, I have taught in both the high school and middle school environment; I have taught, in all, 11th grade English, 7th grade on-level and Pre-AP English (along with STAAR tutoring and test prep), 9th grade Sheltered (which includes both English Language Learners (ELLs) and on-level students combined into one class), and 10th grade Opportunity (a class built and structured for students that failed the 9th grade and are now given the opportunity to take a class that gives them credit for both 9th and 10th grade). I have served as a TELPAS rater and tutor for ELLs and as an EOC/STAAR tutor for both students that failed the previous year and had to retake the test, and students that were taking the test for the very first time. Although my primary content has been English, I have a Generalist certification for grades 4-8 (meaning I can teach any subject), an English Language Arts and Reading certification for grades 4-12, and ESL Generalist certification for grades 4-12.

I would rate this whole customer. Service experience as a zero. Horrible!!!! After she gotten 10 pages of my work..she stated she could not revise it because it was too bad to go over and discuss with me. She only gotten upset with me because of the meeting location to discuss the progress was not on her terms. So after 4 days went by from the holiday. She changed her mind, This is horrible customer service and her attitude is nasty. Very rude and impolite after the fact she had all of my information.

I apologize if you were dissatisfied. I remained profession throughout our transaction and after completing the work, I simply felt it was unfair to to meet to discuss the editing work because much of the writing was so incoherent I was more so rewriting it completely instead of editing. I was very polite and tried explaining the issues without being rude. At that time, you appreciated the honesty and I again said I would be more than happy to help with it once you did some basic things on your part. I sent a few pages to show a sample of the amount of work put in and the difficulty of the work. I took no payment and even offered to send my own writing curriculum to you for free, if you were interested, to help you along the way (writing curriculum I usually sell). You said you appreciated the criticism and would look over what I sent back to you. I even created a confidentially and non-distribute contract through email to make sure you felt secure with leaving your work in my hands. I do recall an issue with the meeting place, but only because it is an hour away from where I live and I am not capable of traveling that far, this is public on my profile (and I tried to find a compromise). I am sorry you are disgruntled and felt the need to bash me on my profile, but I put a great deal of work into editing your writing, did not charge you for any of it, and only tried to be honest about the issues that needed to be addressed in the writing as a whole.

Highly knowledgeable in different areas of writing. Very flexible with meeting times on weekends. I did receive an A in my English class thanks to her. Great tutor!
