What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I send a contract after my inquiry form is filled out. Why a contract? because it covers both the customer and my self. This way the customer knows I am serious about showing up, and me because I know I will not loose a job since the customer has approved my contract.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
yes, I pay for online classes from the best artists in the world that show different techniques. I take my time in trying to learn this, I buy books to teach me as well and not look at images online to find the cheapest way to learn that way. I invest in my work.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your service? If so, please share the details here.
yes its by hr. As long as there is time I will either paint or make balloons. I do not like to limit because I would like to get my money's worth if I hired someone.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I needed a flexible job where I can stay home most of the time with my girls but helps support my family as well.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I have done a kids baseball awards ceremony, a sweet 15, many different birthday parties, a few church easter event and various restaurants ( Willies Ice house, 6 different chick fil a's, Dairy Queen, Dennys)
Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
I have been hired by different large companies. At Chick-Fil-A, Dairy Queen, La centerra at Cinco Ranch, Willies Ice house. I get adults getting their faces painted because of my designs as they can be customized for young kids, teenagers and adults. Also for the woodlands mall, I have been hired a second time because they liked my work from the first night they hired me.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
I use FDA compliant material, i do not buy anything that can harm my clients, i know some artists buy glitter from craft stores and these are not approved for face area so please make sure that you hire someone that is carefull about this and dont be affraid to ask about the material even if they post it on their website just ask.
What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
My price reflects my quality of work. This is my job and not a hobby. I take pride in my work. I take too much time investing on getting new designs and trying to create my own twist at others. I have invested so much money to make my work the best out there and to get thru my line fast also. Others may charge half my price but do not use all the different things I use which are all safe. My glitter is made out of polyester and does not contain aluminum like the craft glitter.
