Introduction: I am a professional math and science tutor with over 20 years of experience. I believe all students can succeed, given the right instruction and enough time. Most students are frustrated with math and science, but they always leave with a smile, because they realize they finally have someone who can help them learn. I tutor Algebra I and II, geometry, trigonometry, precalculus, and chemistry.

FAQs

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I like to say that I learn more every day. My students teach me new ways to teach. Every student is different, so I am always learning better ways to explain. It's a challenge every day, and I love it! I take a new class, or repeat an old one, every semester. This helps me remember what it’s like to be a student, and keeps my brain is fresh. :-)

  • What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

Lots of people think that anyone can be a good tutor. I think it takes a very special type of person, who can constantly readjust their teaching to fit each student. A good tutor can balance what they give students: not too much that the student doesn't have to work, but not too little that the student doesn't understand.
