I can’t imagine a more thorough, professional, and helpful home inspection and I am picky so that says a LOT. After speaking with several companies, I went with A Light in the Attic and am so glad I did!!! Thank you John Rhodes for putting my mind at ease about the large older home we are purchasing. Your insights, communication, and easy-to-read reports are perfect. Price is competitive and his advice is worth much more.

John provided a very thorough report and a detailed explanation for a lay person was also included. Images, videos and thermal images are included in the report. Interactive and easy-to-read. The walk-through was intuitive yet detailed. Super responsive and quick to schedule and provide the inspection service. The pricing was very competitive and included everything I needed for a fair and simple flat price. No complex tier pricing to get to the same result and charge more. Thanks John.

Very professional interaction with John in our Home Inspection. He is very detail oriented, and easy to work with. The detail and supplemental information he provided made resolving things very easy & quick. It also helped to prioritize things. I will definitely be recommending John to any and all I come in contact with. He is also a fellow veteran.

FAQs

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

Pricing for a home inspection depends on several factors: square footage, age of the home, foundation type, and any add-ons such as a pool, private water well, or septic systems.

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

Typically, customers contact us for a home inspection after they have signed a contract for a home purchase. At that point, we schedule the inspection, contact the agents, and arrange access to the property. After we have completed our onsite evaluation, we will go over our initial findings onsite with the customer, if available, and then compile a detailed report and send it to the buyer. Of course, we are always available to answer any additional questions or concerns concerning our report after the inspection.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I am a licensed Professional Inspector, TREC #23344, in Texas. Additionally, I have a BS in Management focusing on Project Management. My inspector education history can be found on the TREC website by looking up my license number, 23344, and viewing my license history.
