David did an awesome job in repairing my pool pump. He was courteous and professional. He is my Go To pool repair guy now. Highly recommended.Dec 11, 2018Verified

I could not be happier with my experience hiring David. He was extremely quick to come out and take care of the issue we were having, communication was excellent and he ended up saving us over $1,000. We will definitely be using David again.Sep 21, 2018Verified
No show for work after estimate was givin. Held me off from calling someone else for two weeks by empty promises of showing up to do repair. WOULD NOT RECOMEND UNLESS YOU WANT TO WASTE YOUR TIME ON SOMEONE THAT WILL NOT SHOW OR WILL NOT TELL YOU HE CANT DO THE JOBJul 11, 2018VerifiedFreedom Pool Service's reply
We worked out a special deal with Jared, discounting the service he needed, and because he said his pool had been a swamp for a long time, that we could fit it in our schedule where it worked for us. We did in fact make plans to get started more than once, but between the weather and running out of daylight we never did. When I first became aware of his dissatisfaction, I thought maybe someone posting a rant against my business at 3:47 A.M. might be drunk, so I'd give him a chance to sober up and cool off before speaking to him. I then received a text leading me to believe that he did not want me to do his work and still angry, I'm sorry about that. Now, he's decided to leave negative reviews everywhere making me look like a bad pool service company. I called him and tried to have a reasonable conversation, he went into rant mode and after telling me off hung up. If he had EVER mentioned that his pool recovery was a priority and not been willing to take whatever scheduling might become available, his recovery would have been accomplished before Independence Day. But he was more concerned with the discount than the next open spot on the schedule. I did tell him that I'd try to start on 6/30, and having ran out of daylight, planned to catch it after the regular work on 7/3, but by then he was angry that it hadn't been finished. I try to please our customers, and I tried to please Jared, but sometimes it just doesn't work.
David did a good job inspecting our future pool during our option period and was prompt getting me a report to show the sellers. Thank youJun 18, 2018Verified

- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)? Our pricing is fair. We will never be the most expensive nor the least expensive, but we will provide you with a quality service/product at a fair and reasonable price, and we'll still be here in the future when you need us then. We are a real service company, with the associated costs. We maintain insurance, we pay taxes, we pay for training, we maintain professional equipment, and most importantly, the staff of Freedom Pool Service are building a reputable company that we hope to see still working for years to come. That's quite different than someone who shows up with a few pool cleaning tools in the back of their truck and part of a summer's worth of experience offering to undercut the professional price, and never considering if they'll even be around next year. That being said, we do offer discounts and specials. After Harvey, we did all of our Drain and Clean jobs for HALF price through the rest of the year to help those who had suffered loss. We also offer Military and Police discounts, along with discounts for the elderly who are on fixed incomes. Sometimes we may offer an incentive for new customers when we're trying to build a customer base in a particular area.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?We think professional training is extremely important for Pool Service work. The average Pool Owner only has one investment worth more than their pool, their home; and they should be vigilant regarding who they entrust the care of that investment to. Freedom Pool Service is a member of IPSSA, the Independent Pool & Spa Service Association, where we have received professional Certification in Water Chemistry and also Certification in Pool Equipment. We are a licensed Electrical Contractor (#807) through TDLR to work on the electrical components of your Pool and Equipment, with licensed installers. Also as a member of NSPF holding CPO (certified pool operator), and associated with APEC and APSP. In addition, staff members have been to training classes put on by all of our major manufacturers, (Pentair, Zodiac, Hayward, Raypak, and Waterways) dealing with a variety of their products (heaters, VS pumps, controllers, automated systems, and more). It is one of the points in the Freedom Pool Service Mission Statement, that we desire to make our industry more Professional through more training and education.
