I had Sheetrock in my bathroom that needed to be repaired from a air conditioner leak. I previously had someone else fix it who didn't know what they were doing and it was terrible. Ray fixed and you can't even tell there was a problem. I will definitely use him again in the future.

I chose Ray because of the reviews he received here. I write now to add to those excellent reviews he's already received. The job was for re-caulking all windows, doors, and cracks in the brick veneer of a one-story ranch house. Ray surveyed the prospective job, gave advice on how to proceed, and proffered a bid that I was delighted with. He asked for a down payment to cover materials. The only thing that could have gone better is the weather! Because caulk does not adhere very well at ;pw temperature and this job was done in the last half of December 2016, beginning the job required monitoring the weather reports, looking for a window of weather warm enough to avoid risking the quality of the job because of low temperatures. The needed warmish weather appeared (this is Texas, after all), and the project was accomplished in a day and a bit more on a second day. I am well-pleased with the quality of the work and the price. Ray was excellent in communication with me, both via the messaging utility here at Thumbtack, and also via telephone. I always knew when, in his judgment, the weather had not warmed up sufficiently, and also when he was heading my way to do the work.

I had a great experience with Ray in having sizable ceiling holes repaired, textured and painted (I had removed fixtures in two rooms and installed recessed lighting, leaving several holes). He was punctual for the bid appointment, as well as the contracted work. Ray was pleasant to deal with and his work quality and cleanliness were superb. I would, and plan to, hire Ray again for any number of home related matters.

Ray was Awesome! He gave me a very reasonable quote to hang light fixtures and they look beautiful! I would definitely recommend him to anyone needing a handyman. Will be giving him another call for future projects!

Typically we charge by the job. We find that this allows us to give the best prices possible.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Typically we charge for labor only. How we prefer to work is that we pick up the materials, mostly at Home Depot, even if you pick them out, we pick them up for you. This allows the customers full control over product quality and design.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I hold many certificates in the various trade, subject but not limited to mold remediation, energy conservation, General Building Inspector to name a few.
