Introduction: I bring over 50 years of extremely diverse horse experience (cattle ranching, horse racing, barrel racing, Little Britches, Quarter Horse Shows, jumping, reining, therapeutic horsemanship, and dressage) to my students, and I am a "lifetime learner" myself. I pass along everything I learn! I have access to two working cattle ranches in Texas and New Mexico, two sisters who are top team ropers (one also coaches champion high school rodeo barrel racers, goat tyers, and breakaway ropers), and I love to take my more advanced student to small local horse shows. And when they have mastered my program, I pass them along to top trainers in the discipline of their choice!

I've been taking lessons from Gretchen for almost a year. She is a great teacher and I have learned a lot. I would recommend her to anyone wanting to learn about riding horses or taking care of horses.

Gretchen has been giving my 7 year old son riding lessons for only a few months now, and she is so amazing. She is wonderful with not letting him pull the "I can't do that" card and is so very quick to praise when he accomplishes his task at hand. I have seen such a difference in my son's confidence on and off of the horse in this short amount of time. I have so enjoyed watching my son's ability with and love for horses grow. I highly recommend Blue Heaven!

Hi my name is Brianna and I am 11 years old.Grethchin has been my instructor for a little over 1 year and has taught memany things in both riding and showmanship.In addition to riding she has taught me about horse tack and tack carewhile properily rigging my horse.while havingan eye for detail and safety.gretchen has always gone out of her way to accomidate an eager student.

Hi im Kamryn 11 years old and i take lessns with gretchen iv been doing lessons with her for about a little less than a year she has tought me SOOO! much when i first took lessons with her i was an inexperienced begginer now i am a intermidiate ridder i have gone to and done alot of shows with gretchen and placed in them and she has helped me so much so now when i get a get horse of my own to ride ill know what to get. i have riden about 10 diffrent horses with her and learned how to handle alot and know just basic horsemanship knowelage. So if you are looking for an horse instructor begginer-advance she is your instructer!!!

My 14 year old, Emily, is a student of Gretchen's and loves her riding lessons. Gretchen is excellent with kids: patient, enthusiastic, encouraging and a wealth of information. Gretchen never rushes the lesson so it is a relaxed environment which encourages learning and inspires confidence. I love the individual attention that she gives my daughter and would recommend her to anyone who wants a positive experience with horses!
