Mallory has taken care of my dog for over a year now whenever needed. She also spent some time training my dog. Mallory is very dependable and reliable, and great with my dog.Apr 5, 2018Murphy & Friends's reply
Thank you, Tyler!
As soon as we met with Mallory and I saw how my dogs were doing with her I felt so much better. Leaving your dogs with someone for at least 30 days is very hard but knowing they are being very well taken care of and loved on makes it easier, especially in a home environment with her family. Mallory responds extremely quick and sends me pictures and video of my dogs daily. She’s been great to work with!Jan 12, 2019VerifiedMurphy & Friends's reply
Mallory is very professional and quick to respond. She has a lot of empathy and understanding for being apart from my baby for four weeks. I have a peace about trusting my Bella to her care. I will update as the training progresses.Jun 6, 2018VerifiedMurphy & Friends's reply
Thanks Jennifer! Can’t wait to work with you and Bella Blue.
Honestly so disappointed. I picked Mallory because of the fact she has good reviews/ and answered back quickly. I left my puppy with her for an entire month hoping to get his potty training under control and just simple commands. That is not at all what I got. I paid $1,200 for this training and that money literally when down the drain. When I picked up my puppy she did not show interest in wanting to show me what he had learned and that was my mistake not to double check. When I got my puppy home he would not do any of the tricks she said she “taught” him and also he used the bathroom in the house just like before. This was back in November and no matter how much I continued trying to command him and do what she said, nothing worked. Now I’m having to retrain him both commands and potty training. When I noticed he wasn’t doing anything she said, I contacted her and she did not reply. I contacted her 3 days later and still no reply. The only way I got her attention was to send her an email telling her I would report her for false information and lying about the attention he got. That’s when she emailed me with a not very nice response. This is a scam and just don’t waste your time. If you need proof of all this I do still have every message between Mallory and I and also the emails.Jan 15, 2019VerifiedMurphy & Friends's reply
Hi Brooke, Let me start off by saying I'm so sorry to hear that Butters is not responding to his training as he was while boarding. I do not teach dogs "tricks" as mentioned above, I encourage and instill behavior that sets up the best possible foundation for the dogs future. When I responded to your email regarding your concerns, I gave you insight on what might be occurring at home that could change the behaviors and cues that he had learned while in training. He was really doing wonderfully when he left. When I give weekly updates to owners while their dogs are in training, I then tell them if the dog might have to stay longer than anticipated due to them not being able to pick up on certain behaviors. This was not the case with Butters, and he was able to go home exactly one month from when he arrived- that is how confident I was in his training. You never scheduled your in home follow up lesson, and in the email I offered to continue helping you with him at no additional cost. Again, I never heard back from you to schedule any ongoing training. In the follow up lessons you learn how to correctly communicate with your dog in order for you both to have a happy lifestyle- this way you do not have to try and "command" him to do anything. I am still more than happy to help you with Butters education and work with you on his commands that he learned. As you can see many people have been happy with what I am able to provide for their families and their pets, my goals are that every dog and owner are happy with their results, which is why I offer continued follow ups once board and train has been completed. If you do not choose to go that route I wish you and Butters the best in your continued training efforts.
Careful, this person seems to know what she's doing, but it also looks like she will disappear on you and refuse to give you the refund you're due. Had one session only to have her go "dark" on me when I asked for a followup. Look somewhere else! @Mallory: Actually, I contacted you on December 20th, a time when almost all businesses are still open. No information was provided at that time regarding a "holiday" dark period. You only responded when I escalated a claim through PayPal. It is unfortunate when businesses do not respond to their clients, despite multiple and various attempts to contact them. At best, I'd imagine you ran off. Now you're offering me less of a refund than I'm due. I hope other viewers take this to heart. This trainer is extremely difficult to get a response from short of filing a formal claim, or it seems, short of posting a negative review.Jan 8, 2019Verified
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)? The board & train fee is all inclusive. Prices do not go up if your dog has to stay longer. You are not paying for time spent as many other trainers charge, but you are paying for the lessons and commands your dog learns.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?Board & train customers are more than welcome to set up a free in home consultation before making a reservation. During this consultation I will meet with you and your dog, address any questions or concerns you may have, and then we will choose the best time for you and your family to set up training.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I received my Canine Training and Behavior Specialist certification from a very well known dog training school, Starmark Academy for Professional Dog Trainers, formerly known as Triple Crown Academy in Austin, TX.
