I initially reached out to Mike regarding a small wallpaper installation, but he was able to help me with a lot more. I was setting up a nursery for a client and he also installed a new light fixture and switch, a mirror and wall shelves. He was incredibly helpful, cleaned up after himself and was enjoyable to be around. I will hire Mike again.

Andre and his team removed an old metal fence in our backyard and driveway, and installed an 8' and 6' wood fence. The job was made difficult because of numerous large rocks and buried cement. The Ascot crew worked incredibly hard and put up a great fence. The job was completed in only 2 days and very reasonably priced. I highly recommend Ascot Fence.

Let me start by saying I would happily be a reference for Nick and HomeCrafters for anyone looking to have their roof replaced, windows redone, or any kind of home repair or construction. Heck, go to the website and look at the work! Earlier this summer, I contacted my insurance company about possible hail damage on the roof of my house after a recent hail storm. I had no idea of any damage, but I wanted to make sure (we all pay premiums, right?). The agent told me there was indeed damage and gave me a detailed estimate and a payout--minus my deductible--to file right there. In the meantime, I had decided that the 1987 windows in my Plano home, which were extremely clouded, neglected and in many cases *broken*, needed to be replaced. I put in some info on Thumbtack and was given five responses. My how those responses varied. Nick was really the only one who actually answered my questions and always responded. After reading all of the other reviews and seeing photos of his work, I got him to come out and give an estimate for the windows. Nick showed me the windows he used and did some more research, they have a great reviews and a really low U-factor and SHGC rating--and a LOT cheaper than the windows I had installed earlier from Lowes! So much so, I ultimately decided to have all of the windows in the house replaced. Homecrafters does full construction so I also talked to him about the roof and some of the ways my patio pergola was messed up. Nick gave me a wonderful deal where I was able to get the roof fixed and have enough money left over from the claim to help pay for the windows! When the work was done, it was done well, but with a few hiccups along the way. I understand how we always want construction projects to go perfectly, but that's just not always how it is. The roofing crew weren't quite fast enough to get tarps up before it started to rain a bit, so there was a some water stains done to some of the sheet rock. Plus one of the window installers inadvertently put his knee through the sheet rock while installing a window. However, Nick always addressed every issue and made sure it was taken care of. He would have other workers come out to fix any issues that arose, even if it was coming out of his pocket. Nick didn't ever raise the cost on me. What he quoted me was what I paid. The one thing we added on--a post for my patio because it was sagging--he only charged me for the wood and did the labor for free. Even after he was paid and the project was finished, he would still call to make sure everything was good. And better yet, he would return MY calls. Imagine that, a contractor that actually answers the phone and returns calls! All in all, I have to say it was a great experience, even if there are always a few issues that arise. The work was professional, the price was great, and the result is awesome. It always made me a bit uneasy having these large projects going with strangers going in and out doing construction, but I have to admit I'm pleased with the result and can highly recommend Nick and Homecrafters to anyone for any kind of home construction.

Steven was very responsive to my inquiries, easy to communicate with, and was able to help me do a great job in less than an hour, and even took on another task (requested while the job). He helped me install strike plates flushed to the door frame, and deepened the holes for my dead bolt lock for full extension. He is flexible and accommodating, I would definite hire him again!
