FAQs
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I have always had a knack for photography. When I was a child I used to spend hours sorting through my grandmother's albums. There is something special to be able to look through your memories. I love providing people with something that they can keep forever and look back on fondly when they are older.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
Lately I have done a lot of family and children photo shoots. I like doing engagements and I really hope to break into the maternity photo scene soon. Each shoot I aim to do something different so that each client receives a unique photo experience from me.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Make sure you shop around of course. Choose someone who suits your style and what you are looking for. (i.e. uses props, shoots outdoors, has a studio, etc.) make sure you choose someone that really cares and doesn't just see you as a dollar sign. Make sure that you go with someone that will take their time with you versus rushing through your shoot. I generally say 1 hour shoots for my customers but often it will run closer to 2 hours but I will still only charge for 1 hour because sometimes getting the right photos takes a bit longer and I wont quit just because times up, unless of course the customer is in a rush.
