Introduction: As a licensed massage therapist I work hand in hand with Texas Tech Athletics to make sure our players stay at the top of their game. I specialize in deep tissue and injury prevention. As a health coach I help pinpoint the things keeping you from reaching your goals, create a plan to show lasting results and I share the meaning of balanced health and help people implement that into their daily lives. What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I do Sports Massage and Deep Tissue. I charge $60 an hour and you can usually catch a great special if you go like my Facebook page. Facebook.com/gilessportsmassage. We have online booking options! Just check the about me section on FB
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Come to my studio about 10 minutes prior to your appointment time to fill out some health history questions. We discuss your health history and your needs for massage. Make sure to bring a pair of athletic shorts since we use towel draping. Also, we use coconut oil for all of out treatments. If you're allergic let us know upon booking.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I took the 500 hour course at Ocean's Spa and School, here in Lubbock. The school included Anatomy and Physiology, Kinesiology, Pathology, Modality, and Business. I then had to pass the MBLEx (Licensing exam). I have certifications in reflexology, sports massage, and myofascial release. In addition to that I graduated from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition. I have a health and lifestyle coaching company called Move Love Moxie.
