We will do our best for your on child!
Can't say enough good things about Gary and his program! My son had taken the ACT test multiple times with no real change in his score. We decided kind of last minute to try Socrates tutoring. After only 3 weeks of tutoring, my son raised his score by 5 points! A true testament to this program! Thank you, Gary and Pam!Mar 7, 2018VerifiedGary L.'s reply
We always work hard to do our best and we coach all students on every level to make sure that they put their best effort forwand. Thank you for the compliments and the rating.
Great resource for developing the right testing skills for the ACT. Gary has provided great insights around increasing testing performance. We are anxious to see how my son does on the test! We will continue to use Socrates throughout the year!Jan 18, 2018VerifiedGary L.'s reply
Reviews like this excite me and drive me to keep doing better!
(LSAT) Extremely honored to have someone so knowledgeable and patient helping me. If you are looking for someone who can assess your struggles and strategize from there, he is the tutor for you! Not only does he focus on the work itself, but explains how eating and sleeping affects our every day study and test taking habits. I am very pleased to have him as my tutor.Jan 11, 2018VerifiedGary L.'s reply
You will do very well and as you do your best, you will be entitled to our best letter of reference that has successfully influenced school to accept our students!
My son only had his consultation thus far but I have to say I am excited about what is to come. Gary is very professional and knowledgeable. He definitely has a lot to offer. It isn't just tutoring but a plan to help students become successful relative to sleep, studying and eating habits. I can't wait to see the end result of his work.Dec 23, 2017VerifiedGary L.'s reply

- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)? We charge $40/hr. for one student and $35/hr. for each student if there are multiple students in the same session with a maximum of 4. There may be further discounts for students from the same immediate family who are in the same session.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer? We meet with the student and a parent to go over study, eating, sleeping, test taking habits, and scheduling. Once we agree on a time, the student owns it unless we both agree to change it. This elevates constant schedule changes. Yet, we are also able to accommodate continual schedule changes due to school work, medical issues, etc.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?Life is a learning experience and we are always on the look out for new ways to explain subjects to our students. Why? Because the subject matter becomes far more interesting if it can be related to real life examples! For example, wouldn't it be helpful in later life if the student learned how to measure square footage and used that knowledge when buying their new home?
