DeMario just let my home. Not only was he efficient, on time, and made my crappy carpets look brand new. He is extremely professional, respectful and has a warm, fun sense of humor. Does play the piano quite well. I will definitely be using DeMario again. Thank you for helping me to regain clean carpets in my house..... I want to ensure DeMario, that when my friends need their carpets clean I will make sure he is the first call they make. I have had commercial carpet cleaners come out and they ruined my rug for DOUBLE the price. Thanks again DeMario and look forward to using your services again..

Live Green is the BEST carpet cleaners out there!! I was beyond impressed with their knowledge, professionalism & the biggest part responding to my emails at 3:00 am in the morning. The next morning - the owners- Michael & Gaston came to our house. We just did a major house renovation- installing HW floors. We kept carpeting in all the bedrooms, but with all the dust we were desperately needing our carpets cleaned. We built our house 12 years ago & needless to say the carpets needed cleaning. It took about 45 minutes to do 4 bedrooms including the master. I had them use scotch guard & stain spray. On top, they helped move furniture. Our carpets look brand new. I'm so beyond impressed with the owners & company. I'm having them back to clean furniture. I've already passed this information to all my friends! This is the "BEST" service & experience dealing with a carpet cleaning company. If I could give them a higher rate I would. I'm extremely ill & also very "picky"... maybe a little OCD!! So with that said....Trust me, you'll not go wrong using Live Green. Top Notch!!!

Eugene was very responsive, flexible, & accomodating regarding our short notice, urgent request. He was very kind, professional & thorough! He did a quality job, the carpet started drying quickly vs being sopping wet as from other carpet cleaners. He also deep cleaned our tile & grout, then protected with a sealant. Everthing looks & smells great. No strong chemical odor--just clean. Very happy overall & will call this company in the future.

Lifetouch did an incredible job with our carpets. They worked quickly and thoroughly. Our carpets look amazing. The price was just as incredible. There was no ridiculous upcharge for deodorizing and stain treatments. We definitely got more than we paid for. I think we've found our lifetime carpet cleaners with Lifetouch Carpet Cleaning!

This was move out cleaning- 1 bedroom apartment. Kello did a fantastic job!! Appliances, bathroom everything was sparkling. He also threw all the thrash and boxes that I had piled up from moving out of the apartment. Carpet was vacuumed, no complaints! However depending on your apartment management's requirement the extent of carpet cleaning may differ. You may need to hire professional carpet cleaners if that is the case. My carpets had no stains other than traffic area vs rug area difference. I highly recommend Dallas best cleaning services. Also they are reasonable and very flexible to meet your schedule! What more can you ask for?!

Quality service! Abram & his crew did an excellent job cleaning our carpet! The carpet had a lot of stains & the crew completely removed them or lightened up the stains to where it can't be seen. This helped us save a lot of money because we were thinking of replacing the carpet. I'm so happy with the results! Thanks guys!!!!!!!!

If there were 10 stars I would give them . They are so flexible and work hard to get the job done. We had an issue where Carpet Cleaner's and another repairman had to be in the home at the same time and they were absolutely terrific about working around the other crew.

Q & A

Answers to commonly asked questions from the experts on Thumbtack.

How often should carpets be steam cleaned?

Dirty carpets can be unhealthy for the people living in the home, particularly those who have allergies, so it’s important to have them cleaned regularly; simply vacuuming once or twice a week isn’t enough. Carpet cleaning should be done by a professional carpet cleaning service at least once a year to remove grime and help extend the life of your carpet. Most carpet manufacturers recommend professional steam cleaning, which penetrates deep into the carpet fibers and lifts out both dirt and the pollutants that get tracked inside. Steam cleaning also removes most of the moisture, so carpets dry quickly enough for homeowners to resume using them the same day. Between professional carpet cleanings, your carpet may need an emergency spot cleaning. Pet accidents, food or drink spills, and more can often be effectively cleaned with some water and a drop of white vinegar, although many cleaners will also make house calls for smaller spills and hard-to-clean spots like wine or grease stains.

Who cleans area rugs?

Like your carpets, area rugs should ideally be cleaned at least once a year to remove dust and dirt and help them last longer. In general, carpet cleaning professionals also clean area rugs. Some rug cleaners bring their cleaning equipment to your home, while others remove your area rugs and clean them at their facilities. Either way, the rug should be cleaned with the solution most appropriate to its specific fabric and construction. It should also be completely dry before you return it to the floor.

How much does it cost to clean a rug?

Area rugs are typically found in high-traffic areas of the home, like hallways and entryways, so they collect more dirt and stains than simple vacuuming can handle. Similar to carpet cleaning, professionals can come to your home to deep-clean your area rugs. The national average cost for rug cleaning ranges from $80 to $120, but may be higher or lower depending on the rug’s size and fiber type. Rug cleaners generally charge by the square foot; for example, a standard 8-foot by 10-foot rug costs an average of $100 to clean. Natural fiber rugs, such as wool or silk, are usually more expensive to have cleaned than synthetic rugs. A carpeting cleaning company may charge on average $1.50 per square foot to clean a synthetic rug, $2 per square foot for a wool rug, and $3 per square foot for a silk rug. Some delicate rugs need to be washed by hand, which increases the price. Carpet cleaning companies often offer additional services, such as removing odors or applying moth deterrent, which can add 20 cents to 25 cents per square foot.

How do you find a good carpet cleaning company?

Regular professional carpet cleaning can both extend the life of your carpet and remove harmful pollutants from your home. Finding a good carpet cleaning company is an important aspect of home maintenance. When choosing a carpet cleaner, consider these top three questions:

  • What method of carpet cleaning do you prefer? Steam cleaning is an increasingly popular method because it’s thorough and safe, and dries quickly enough for you to return to your home the same day the carpets are cleaned.
  • Have you checked the company’s references? Most cities are home to several carpet cleaning companies, so it’s a good idea to check their reviews and references. Look for references from people in your neighborhood with homes similar to yours.
  • What’s included in the base price? What other services does the carpet cleaning company offer? Some companies will move furniture for you, while others charge a fee for it. Some include stairs in the cost of the home’s cleaning, while others charge per step.

What does carpet cleaning cost?

National average carpet cleaning prices range between $100 and $130. Carpet cleaning prices depend on how many square feet of carpet you want cleaned, how many rooms in one house or building will be cleaned, how stained your carpet is, how much the carpet cleaning company charges, your ZIP code, and the type of carpet you have. Cost per square foot can range from 20 cents to $1 or more, based on the above variables. Synthetic carpets are typically the least expensive to clean; natural fibers like wool cost more, as they require more care and attention, as well as more drying time. Excessive stains, challenging locations such as stairs, and accessibility also factor into your carpet cleaning price. Companies may charge a minimum service fee for cleaning a small carpet to cover their business expenses (paying employees, transporting the special equipment to your home). If your pet has repeatedly saturated the carpet with urine or if the fibers are extremely matted down, it may make more sense to completely replace your carpet than to continue to have it cleaned.
