I had two lessons with Jen. She puts you at ease and is very good at explaining everything you need to know and more about riding horses. She clearly is passionate about horses. Highly recommended
Outstanding! Sarah is so patient, knowledgeable and fun. She kept my five year old on task and engaged for the entire lesson, teaching her so much more than just how to sit in a saddle. She can't wait to go back for another lesson, her only complaint is that she can't go everyday. Such an amazing experience, I am so glad I chose Sarah to introduce us to horseback riding.
Nancy is a great riding instructor for kids or adults. Students learn the mechanics of riding as well as the language of horses. With students at varying skill levels, she carefully matches the horse to the rider unless, of course, the rider brings her own horse. Plus, she makes the lessons fun by giving students milestones to achieve as they progress in their training. Learning to ride, gaining the confidence to command a thousand pound horse has been an amazing experience for my son. He knew nothing about riding before coming to Amor Ranch. Nancy is a fabulous instructor, and I'd recommend her for students at any level.
Beautiful well trained horses. Great environment and atmosphere. Great instructor. I highly recommend Foster Farms.
Three beautiful barns with amazing facilities, including 2 indoor arenas, 2 outdoor riding rings and a riding field. The horses all look like Breyer models and are well cared for and loved. The instructors are amazing! You definitely get your money's worth at every lesson and they genuinely care about each rider and horse's development. It is the only place I would board and ride.
I loved riding horses on the trials! Personally, I liked that our guide wasn't all up in our converstatiobs we were having so it gave me time to talk to my aunt and enjoy the riding. The first time I went I rode Princess I think and that was loads of fun. I loved it so much that I begged to go back and rode Aero my second time. The best part was that you weren't cramped up in the woods hitting all the trees with your head, we rode along the river on a dirt path and there was so much room that our guide would let us trot and my aunt and I had races with the horses. I would say it was definitely the best trial ride I have ever done and the stable was SO big and clean. I enjoyed petting all the horses in the stalls. The dogs in the barn are funny too when they run across the board above your head, looking down at the stalls. I can't remember the horses name but we got to pet a HUGE black perchron and he was the sweetest thing! I can't wait to go visit my aunt and go horse riding with her at Stockyard Stables. It's totally worth it!
Margaret has done a great job with our kid. Very experienced, treats her animals with care and respect, and is great with her knowledge of different riding styles. Highly recommend her.
I'm a fairly inexperienced rider and over the two years I've been riding have used 4 trainers. Kelsey is awesome, she gives great feedback and encourages me to challenge myself which has really improved my riding skills. She is also very reliable which not every trainer I've worked with was, I really appreciate that since I have a lot going on and scheduling is crucial for me. Thanks Kelsey!!
I strive to create a nourishing equine environment that encourages growth for both riders and their equine companions. Lesson plans and training programs are customized for each individual rider and horse. I do not believe in "one size fits all" programs!
