What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I'm a Mary Kay Independent Beauty Consultant. We are a well trained sales force and always kept abreast of the latest trends in makeup and fashion. I'm also always researching new and innovative ideas in makeup application for all ethnic backgrounds and skincare types. Also, in order to keep my manicurist license, Texas requires you do continuing education courses not only on the latest in the nail industry, but also in health and sanitation.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Make sure you meet with all prospects and have a list of questions ready about how they work, what they charge, what's their experience, and whether or not they travel. Try and have some idea of what you invision your special day to be like and what your makeup needs will be. Be sure to take into account the weather, your location and attire.
