Amanda created a beautiful and very delicious cake for my daughter's wedding. Not only was it visually stunning and exactly what my daughter had asked for, it was luscious and tasty. Not just a run-of-the mill boring cake! Amanda was extremely prompt in answering questions, responding to texts (on Thumbtack), every time we met with her, and with the delivery of the cake. She arranged the fresh flowers between the layers at the venue. We simply could not have asked for better service or for a better cake. - What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?The prices are normally done by the slice. For buttercream iced cakes, the starting price is $4per slice but can go up depending on the details. The fondant covered cakes start at $6per slice and again, the price can go up depending on the details and cake flavor chosen by the client. I do offer the top tier anniversary cake free of charge. Cupcakes range from $35-$50 per dozen and cake pops are $40 a dozen. Chocolate covered strawberries are $30 a dozen.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?I started helping my aunt who had been decorating and designing cakes for over 20 years at the age of 18. I always have had a love for drawing and creating things with my hands, so this came almost natural! I fell in love with it almost immediately!
- What types of customers have you worked with?Wedding cakes, groom cakes, bridal showers, baby showers, anniversary cakes, birthdays, cake pops, cupcakes...you name it I pretty much have done it when it comes to any cake for a special occasion.
