Dog walking, pet sitting, pet taxi, overnight stays, poop scooping, customer service, personalized pet care, Lynda's Bed & Biscuit, swimming with your pets, loving your pets, litter box cleaning, house checks, water plants, bring in mail, newspaper, packages, door hangers, etc., alternate lights, leave written reports and/or text messages, photos and videos of your pets, stay connected on Facebook, Twitter, Linked-In and other social media sites. Treats, rewards, gifts, toys, tennis balls, ropes for tug of war, take your pet(s) to the park or puppy play dates. Look out for signs of aging, illness, or injury. Pet First Aid & CPR Certified, Certified Professional Pet Sitter, attend Pet Sitting conferences, proud member of Pet Sitters International and supporter of the SPCA.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Make sure we are experienced, bonded and insured, can provide references, perform background checks and that you "click" with your pet sitter, better yet, your pet(s) "click" with the pet sitter. I recommend hiring a Certified Pet First Aid & CPR pet sitter and a Certified Professional Pet Sitter. Someone who belongs to organizations in the pet industry, such as, Pet Sitters International or National Association of Professional Pet Sitters. I recommend your pet sitter keeps up with current trends in the industry!
- What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
I wish some customers knew the extent of behind the scenes work that takes place to able to provide the best, highest, quality care for your pet(s) and home. Here are a few steps in the process: sales of our services to the right client, matching the perfect pet sitter, scheduling the services, free initial consultations, client and pet profiles on power pet sitter, pet sitting, background checks, continued education, repeat customers, daily visit logs, pay checks, collections, invoicing, accounting, taxes, etc. We are a business, we just get to have fun with pets along the way! We strive everyday to enhance and maintain professional pet sitters who are talented and trained.
