Introduction: I pride myself on being able to really connect with my clients, as well as with their loved ones. Doing this allows me to capture people as they truly look, with natural expressions, relaxed and organic. When I do a wedding, the guests often comment about how unobtrusive I am. I try really hard to not get in the way of whatever is happening, and just to capture it in a fly-on-the-wall sort of way. I can even get men to smile for photos! (okay, that was a little photographer humor...) I love what I do, and it shows in my work. Photography is like getting to freeze time. I can capture a moment, a look, a feeling in a photo, and it will last forever. Every time you see the photo, that moment just comes flooding back to you, with all the excitement, anticipation, joy and expectation it held. I love the idea that when I get one of those magical shots, it may hang over my clients' mantle for 40 years. It's my great pleasure to have the opportunity to produce something timeless like that.

I was fortunate enough to be chosen for a glamour session by Jennifer. As hesitant as I initially was, I am so grateful that I took her up on her offer. Jennifer was very friendly and I felt like we could talk as if we had known each other for years. I was able to be open with her about what I was most insecure about and I felt like she really paid attention to this during my shoot. I had never had a photographer tell me exactly what to do (e.g., how to pose) and it was amazing to have this experience with Jennifer. She was very patient with my not-so-good coordination, laughed with and assured me when the positions felt awkward. Her professionalism, knowledge and love of photography are exhibited in her work. It would be amazing if Jennifer decides to provide this same (or similar) opportunity to other women. A session like this would be fantastic for all, regardless of their background and life experiences. I had never felt so beautiful (not even on my wedding day), as I felt during and after my session. I think my confidence is reflected in the stunning pictures Jennifer captured.

Jennifer the owner and photographer of Envision Images took the most wonderful photos at my wedding! I could not have asked for a better professional to work with on my wedding day! Not only did her packages fit my budget but she really cares about her work and it shows in the photographs of my wedding. What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Look first for someone whose work really stands out to you. Then look at prices. No price is a bargain if you're settling on creative style. If you're going to pay for great photographs, you might as well get it done right. Talk to your photographer, or meet with them. Being compatible personally will go a long way toward getting great photos; being relaxed is key!
What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
I would like customers to understand that when they see an hourly rate for a photographer's services and it seems high, it's because it's actually for several hours worth of work. For every hour of actual shooting time, there are at least 2-3 hrs of post-production time to deliver a great final product. So when you do the math, the price looks a lot more reasonable.
