FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
We consistently read any and all pest/trade industry literature as well as attend yearly re-training seminars held across the state in which we get re-certified in each of our pest, lawn, weed and termite categories.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I was a manager at a bed bath and beyond here in Houston and the pay wasn't covering my families bills so I looked online and found an ad for a local pest control company looking to hire a pest tech with no experience. I jumped at the chance!! They trained me, schooled and licensed me the correct way from day one. They patiently showed me the ropes day in, day out, and even paid for my ongoing pest educational training. I eventually learned the ropes and spread my pest control wings..so to speak. I learned over the years what to do and what not to do in certain situations from german roach jobs to drug store flour beetle infestations. Over time I learned how to handle each situation according to the state licensed and legally prescribed treatments. I wouldn't just go in there and tear the place up via chemical bombs and pesticides. Its all about the game plan. What, where, when and how is how I was taught. We use and plan ahead theory which allows us to lower the environmental impact and lower the initial cost for the customer, which is great for everybody. In conclusion, I've learned to do what's right in order to preserve our precious environment and solve the customers pest control issues at the same time.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Make sure they know what they are doing and have the right products and equipment to get the desired results for each and every customer.
