Introduction: Hi all, My business is located at 201 Oates Creek Rd, Aurora TX 76078. With that information you will have an idea of my distance from you before you make your request. My lessons are designed for each student, most of my lessons are private. As the riders improve we discuss changing to group lessons. I am patient and teach in a manner that makes learning and riding fun. I talk to my students and try to set goals from the start. I feel that talking to my students allows me to figure out how they think and therefore I can teach them in a manner the is for their way of thinking. I specialize in all around horse show events but everything I teach also is great for trail riding, horsemanship is the same for all types of riding. I have kept my lesson price lower so that I can help people that may not be able to afford a higher price. I like to help people and see them smile. I enjoy seeing my students learn and gain confidence and become proficient in the riding style that we are working on. It makes me feel great as my riders reach goals and then we set new ones and strive to reach them. A smile on the face of a beginning adult has the same brilliance as the smile on a 4 or 5 year old.

Me and my wife meet Terri on a Saturday for a class. She was very nice and made sure to make us feel comfortable with everything before we started riding. We learned so much and had a blast riding Hot Rod for our first lesson.

Mrs. Terrie is brilliant, she was very knowledgeable and passionate about the horses. She is an amazing trainer, she was very patient and makes you feel comfortable on the horse. The horse hot rod was a well trained horse which makes riding a pleasure. I thoroughly enjoyed spending time with her. This one of the best places near Dallas to learn riding. I m so glad I learned to ride from her!

Terrie was awesome through the entire lesson. She talked my roommate and I a lot while we learned to groom and saddle Hot Rod. Once on the horse, she coached each of us through our rides with the utmost patience. She made the ride completely awesome!

FAQs

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My pricing varies with the goals of the rider. For general lessons it is a fixed price of $50, when working away from my business I charge and additional $15 for a fuel fee, this includes grooming time before and after the lesson and the riding time. If the student is preparing for horse shows of some sort the fee becomes more adjustable, I also adjust it for students 6 and under because generally their attention span is shorter.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I ask questions and like to know if there are specific goals in mind or if the goals are generic. The more specific the goals the more tailored the lessons and instructions will be. The more info I have the better I can help my customers.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a 1983 graduate of William Woods University with a bachelor of science degree in equestrian science, I have had my own training and lesson business since 1989 and opened up Solomon Show Horses in 2011 prior to this it was Two Bar T Training Center. I train both people and horses and teach you what I teach your horse. Good training is not a secret and a good teacher teaches the student to be better than they are.
