FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
It's not complicated, but more time equals a higher rate. With video, shooting can range from 350 for a half-day to 950 depending on many variables. Editing is typically 95 per hour. For most two-minute videos, it takes me about 5-6 hours to edit, providing we've done a good job of story-boarding. Sometimes when I have to go through hours of footage, it takes two full days to edit. Websites generally start at 3500-4000. Again the more time my team and I invest, the higher the cost. Some websites I've done in the past for almost 1500, some were 5000. Websites generally take about 6 weeks and there are many variables that I try to get squared away up front with the client.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
2 minute video. Brochures, Flyers, Website design.
- Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
I'm quite proud of the past video I did for The Flame Project. http://timmiller.net/video/112-the-flame-project.html I was in a very austere location in Kenya with the Masai creating a video about giving these people stoves that produce very little smoke. Since they cook inside their homes, many have lung and eye related diseases, breathing in the equivalent of 30 cigarettes a day. This video helped with the kick off and increased donor support. It was also quite a bit of fun to produce.
