Submitted a request here on Thumbtack and choose JD Smarthome for several reasons. 1. More 5 star reviews than anyone else. 2. Affordable. 3. Free on-site estimate. 4. Professional. and 5. Very knowledgeable! Overall loved working with these guys! Had them install a new security camera system and mount a TV. Very pleased! JD went above and beyond to make sure we were satisfied. Even came back out a few days later at no charge to show and answer question about my new camera system. JD was AWESOME!! Super professional and very knowledgeable. Glad to have found them. Highly Recommend and will use again!! A++

I had JD SmartHome mount a 70 television on my wall. I originally wanted it mounted over my fireplace but after listening to the advice of JD, I decided against it. It wasnt that it couldnt be done, something's, I did not consider JD made me rethink my original thought, but he was willing and able to do it if that what I wanted done. Daniel and JD came to start and finish the project. Upon arriving, they put booties on their shoes before entering the house (it had been raining lightly); they removed things off the wall, demounted a 55 TV I had mounted on an entertainment center. After mounting the bracket on the wall he showed me that it was perfectly leveled. Once the TV was mounted JD programed by TV making sure everything worked he put all things back in place and vacuum the work area. JD and Daniel did an outstanding job. I highly recommend JD SmartHome. I plan on using his service again for another project. Great job JD!!! Thanks

JD was great! When I called for TV mount installation, he responded immediately, and was able to come the next day. I gave him the task of installing a mount that he hadn't yet seen before, but he took it in stride, and did a wonderful job! My TV is level above the fireplace mantle, and you can't see any cords. I would definitely recommend JD to anyone who needs TV wall mounting, or any other "Smarthome" services!"

We hired him to mount a TV, and ended up having him install speakers, wifi access points, a tv on our cabana, sound bar to our living room tv, rerun wiring our builder messed up and more! Will be hiring him again soon to add cameras and more speakers throughout the house!

JD Smarthome did an excellent job with our TV mounting project! We couldn't be more satisfied. Their team was responsive and courteous. They were on-time and I even received an e-mail on the day of the install appointment giving me a 60-minute window for their arrival. Their installation team spent about 30 minutes answering all our questions and going over the various install options before they began. They seemed very knowledgeable and patient with our questions. Most importantly, they clearly had integrity. Their advice led to our using a less expensive mount in a less expensive location than had been previously quoted. It’s rare that you find a contractor that comes in under the quoted budget in this day and age. JD Smarthome seemed truly focused on doing the best job for our project, not what was best for their bottom line. I truly appreciated that. The work was outstanding and they ensured the work area was clean and everything worked properly after the project was done. I had previously priced out an install with Best Buy and bought their recommended mount but ultimately cancelled because of how long I was going to have to wait for the Best Buy to fit me into their install schedule (several weeks). JD Smarthome was able to come out nearly immediately and came in at less than 1/2 the cost that Best Buy had quoted! Moreover, JD Smarthome provided a generous military discount (we're military), which Best Buy did not. Definitely recommend JD Smarthome!

I still subscribe to "paper magazines" like Audiophile, Stereo Review, etc. I also visit trade shows. Best of all, I continually install and play with technology in my home. My friends call my home the Enterprise!
What types of customers have you worked with?
Most of our customers are average people like us with average-to-above average installs. But many of our clients are also high profile celebrities local to San Antonio.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Check references, check for a professional website, and check for an active Facebook page, Twitter account, etc. All these give clues about the type, the quality, and the frequency of work performed.
