What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I charge $80 per hour. Most first sessions take 1.5 hours and cost $120. Smoking Cessation is one 2-hour session for $160. My 5-session package is $350 regardless of the time spent on each session.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Clients contact me by phone, text or email. We discuss what it is they want to work on. I give them an estimate of the number of sessions it will take based on my experience working with their type of issue. For example, I recommend a package of 5 sessions for weight loss or anxiety. Smoking takes 1 2-hour session. Surgery prep is 1 or 2 sessions. Text anxiety is one session.
I then explain what I will be doing in the sessions. I provide a game plan based on the best practices that have worked for me for their specific issue.
We have our first session (if it is a multiple session issue). We discuss anything else they feel is pertinent. I go over what to expect in the session. We do the session and I provide them with a recording to use after they leave my office. The recorded hypnosis session serves for reinforcement since most clients need to hear the suggestions more than once.

How did you get started doing this type of work?
I come from an intuitive family. At one point, I decided to quit my job and was planning to start a motivational consulting business. But, I heard a voice in my head that said "Study Hypnosis." The rest is history. I have never regretted listening to that voice. It is a wonderful thing to LOVE what you do. I can honestly say that hypnosis has changed my life.
What types of customers have you worked with?
My specialties are anxiety and phobia elimination and smoking cessation. With 16 years of experience I have also worked successfully with weight management, test prep/study skills and a wide range of success programming issues, even finding lost objects.
Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
One of the tools in my toolbox is called Time Line Therapy. It is great for helping clients vacuum out old, stuck emotions and for eliminating limiting beliefs. I had a young client who was painfully shy and carried around the attitude, "I'm not good enough." In one session of Time Line Therapy, she was smiling and happy and ready to face the world. Her mother was so impressed with the change in her that she came in for sessions as well. The big advantage of hypnosis over any other modality I know of is that it works really fast. Hypnosis is more like computer reprogramming than psychotherapy or counseling.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
The best way to find out if the hypnotist can help you is to ask them how they would work with your issue. They should be able to quickly give you very specific answers that demonstrate they have worked with the problem successfully many times in the past. If they can't give you a game plan of how they will work with you, find someone else.
What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
I wish EVERYONE would give hypnosis a try for one problem in their lives that they have not been able to resolve. No matter where you live there is a hypnotist somewhere close by. Well, I did have someone come while visiting from Alaska because the closest hypnotist to him was 500 miles away, but that's a special case.
