FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Irrigation design and installations will require at least 1 visit to your home. Water pressure as well as flow rates are needed to properly design your new irrigation. Slopes and unleveled areas need to be noted as well as plant beds and type of foliage. A site plan provided is a big help to take notes on. If you do not have a site plan one can be drawn for you. A properly designed plan figures the water hydraulics for every spray nozzle as well as every zones operating pressure.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
My profession requires a significant amount of continuing education every year. It is important to stay on top of new products and better ways to conserve water resources.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
There are lots of people who claim to install and/or repair irrigation systems. Many I have encountered are not licensed professionals. Your irrigation system is a balance of spray heads and water pressure/flow. A license is required to repair, sell, or install and irrigation system. When you hire an unlicensed person, you are accepting the responsibility for possibly contaminating the public water supply or your own private water supply.
