Everything about working with this company was wonderful !!!Jun 12, 2017Verified
Great with our Prom going kiddos and even texted me to let me know when he dropped them off at the venue.. Thank You Richard!!May 15, 2017Verified
The night couldn't have went any better. Richard arrived to almost the exact second that we asked. He picked up some ice for us without even asking which was a great touch. The next time I need a limo service I will not hesitate to book Richard again!May 14, 2017Verified
We contracted for Lumas to pick up our daughter and new son-in-law at the end of the wedding reception. They were very easy to deal with but on the night of the wedding, they arrived 15 minutes late! It seems the driver used GPS and it sent him to the wrong address. All ended up okay but I felt maybe a little better planning could have avoided that.Oct 23, 2015Verified

- How did you get started doing this type of work?I used a limousine service for a beauty contest I was consulting for. That company provided services pro bono in exchange for promotional opportunities. Later, the same company asked to help them drive some vehicles to Florida that had been hired for the Super Bowl that year. I decided to stay and drive the vehicle around and found that just driving folks around was not the only job to do. As a chauffeur, one literally becomes a concierge on wheels, assisting the clients on anything from getting them to their destination on time to making reservations for them and many other requests. I found that challenging and rewarding with a great sense of accomplishment after serving each client! Since then, those first impressions learned guided the launching of LUMAS Limousine & Charter with the sole purpose of delivering a high level of client service that to this day, we continue to strive for.
- What types of customers have you worked with?Weddings, quinceañeras, anniversaries, celebrations, Hill Country sightseeing and airport transfers.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?First of all, do shop around. Most companies have minimum hours requirements depending on the type of service the client requires so its is important to know the type of service needed, whether it is a 1-hr transfer or as-directed for several hours. Second most important thing to remember is to reserve your transportation with plenty of time. In San Antonio, by law, we require at least an hour notice or else we step into the taxi business and they sure hate it. More often than not, though, an hour is not enough for some companies to respond so reserving well ahead of time is always very good. Finally, cancellations do cost so its very important to check out their cancellation policies.
