About
One of the most common misconceptions for photographers is that you must have an expensive camera with expensive lenses and equipment to produce quality photographs. But making great photos comes entirely from the photographer - not the camera. It takes the right eye and timing to take a great photo. If you have great skill, then taking great photos is easy. My work stands out from other photographers, because I have the right talent and the right knowledge, not just the right equipment.

I have done 4 photo shoots with Sammy - a couples' shoot, senior flute recital shoot, and 2 flute ensemble shoots - and was time after time blown away by the quality of Sammy's photos. We did my senior flute recital photos at the McNay Art Museum and the natural lighting, along with Sammy's good eye, made my photos turn out beautifully. Sammy also helped me design business cards for my flute ensemble, Silver Voices, using his photos. I always receive great comments about how unique and elegant the business cards printed. All of the photo shoots with Sammy were easy-going and natural. He is very easy to talk to and is so friendly! I have known Sammy for 9 years now and I recommend him to anyone looking for quality photos. Thank you, Sammy!

FAQs

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I started in photojournalism and was a staff photographer for both my high school and college newspapers. After that, I made the transition to portraiture and wedding photography.

  • How did you get started doing this type of work?

Anyone who is truly in love with their passion will tell you that it chose them, rather than them deciding on it. This is the same for me of course.
