Amir Neubach ( Guitarist ) delighted our party guests with a variety of musical entertainment- instrumental as well as vocal. Requests were encouraged and graciously granted. His musical talent and pleasant personality will certainly be reason to invite him to our house again.

Penn came all the way from his home in Massachusetts to the University of Maine to perform at our first annual EarthFest concert on Earth Day. He was outstanding, and his music brought good vibes and originality that only he could bring. His songs told stories, covered current events and fit the theme of our concert perfectly. Penn is an awesome singer/songwriter and I hope everyone has a chance to listen to his music!

We hired Taylor to perform at our wedding ceremony and cocktail hour. For a little context, the ceremony and reception were out of doors, the ceremony involved playing church music while a cantor-led congregation sang, and the cocktail hour involved another outdoor spot and a shift to jazz. Taylor did a wonderful job as the pianist for our wedding ceremony and cocktail hour. He was extremely responsive, punctual and professional--and I cannot stress enough how grateful we were for his flexibility as well. There are always going to be little surprises when planning or hosting an event and it was such a pleasure to work with a pro who could adapt and carry on throughout!

Matthew is a very proficient all around sound engineer, and was key to the success of my event during SXSW 2014. He worked on our heavy metal day, and was amazing under pressure and had to do onsite problem solving to get the job done. The job was about 8-10hrs long, and probably not all the optimal equipment was there. However, Mr. Blagg really came through and the client and myself were happy! He brought the best possible sound, and regardless of whether all the equipment was there or not it certainly sounded like it was! The only thing I could do to improve his performance or the event in general would be to have him involved from the beginning and make the project less of a rush and surprise for him. (the job was a bit last minute and we were lucky to find him!) I give Matthew my full endorsement, and I hope to work with him again!

We contacted Nic at the last minute (literally days before the wedding because of another Shady DJ we almost got stuck with) for his DJ Service and he was there for us! We truly were BLESSED for everything to have worked out the way it did so that we had Nic Dante to be such a huge part of the most special day in our life... our daughter's wedding! I tell everyone about our 1st conversation...NIC: "Do you have entrance or exit music when they get married?" "Do you have a timeline for cake cutting, the toast, bouquet & garter tossing & the send off?"... and MY answer to everything was "HUH?" I sincerely don't know what we would have done without Nic! Not only is he an Amazing DJ & Entertainer (and thank you for singing a few... So special) but he also felt like a wedding planner! I would highly recommend Nic Dante & his DJ/ENTERTAINER Services to every person I ever meet! And I truly hope we will have a reason to use you again... I'll even make up an event /party so we can! Thank you again Nic Dante! ❤️

AJC Jazz is a great for events in which you want to add some ambiance, but you don't expect the music to be the life of the party. I booked AJC for a corporate reception and they were a great fit! NOTE: They communicated extremely well, were punctual, easy to work with and a GREAT addition to this fun event.

I hired Gabriela for my best friend's wedding. She was wonderful! Beautiful voice that can seriously change from sweet to beautiful and jazz-raspy to pop! LOVED HER! She even sang in French, Italian and Spanish! She's just starting and I believe we were her second wedding but man is this natural for her. You won't regret it, she has such a unique and special voice. Thank you so much for making my Annie's wedding so special!! I hope we can have you amazing voice at another event!

About

I'm a singer, songwriter, and guitarist who can play solo acoustic as well as with my band, Mike Dubose and The Dissidents. I'm also able to run sound (for another act). I just released an acoustic CD called "Head Above Water" produced by Bill Teags, and recorded/mixed by legendary Grammy-winning engineer/producer Stuart Sullivan (Willie Nelson, Sublime, James McMurtry, Jimmie Vaughan, and many more). Mike Dubose is what Bob Dylan would sound like if he had grown up listening to punk rock! Already critically acclaimed, Mike is a homegrown Austin, TX singer-songwriter. Having grown up around the talent that has sprung out of Austin, such as James McMurtry and Tish Hinojosa, Mike has shared the stage with Willie Nelson, Lucinda Williams, Pete Seeger, Elliott Smith, Indigo Girls, Foo Fighters, Son Volt and Wilco. When the CD "Head Above Water" was originally discussed, it was going to be a total rock-band project. However, once inside Wire Studio in Austin, it quickly became evident that an acoustic approach suited the songs. Mike always writes on acoustic guitar, so it seemed only natural that the audience should get to experience the songs as they were written. With the engineering expertise of Stuart Sullivan, producer Bill Teags enlisted the help of local Austin musicians Danny Levin (cello), Amanda Kitchens (accordion), Sumner Erickson (tuba), and Diana Bruschke (backing vocals), to bring life to Mike's musical ideas. Each song on this CD has a story that is told through well-crafted and thought-provoking lyrics. Accustomed to the painful side of life while vowing never to give in to any affliction, Mike's lyrics bring you into each story. You can feel the raw emotion just underneath the surface, waiting to capture your mind and draw you in. For example, "Head Above Water" is about struggling with depression and the will to survive through a painful healing process. "George the Prophet" is a commentary about the damage to our liberties that is prevalent in American politics, and how we are allowing ourselves to be morphed into an Orwellian state. Pain, anger, hurt, and joy are all exposed in "Jane Doe #5", a song about two women, and how irrational life can turn out. - Review of "Head Above Water" from CDBaby So, give me a call, and we'll discuss your project!
