My fiancé and I just had our first dance lesson with Ashlyn and it went really well! We both went in there not knowing how to dance and after just one lesson we feel comfortable dancing in front of all our weddings guests. Thank you!!

Robbie is a beautifully skilled, talented, knowledgeable, and gifted dance teacher. Not only is she an exquisite dancer with an intimate knowledge of a wide variety of dance forms, she knows how to break steps and movements down into easily learnable components to make them accessible to both novice and experienced dancers. Her teaching style is warm, patient, and supportive, and coupled with her easy laugh makes her a joy to learn from. She has an in depth understanding of technique, style, musicality, history, and cultural context of the dances she teaches which she is able to convey and integrate into her teaching in ways that accelerate and facilitate her students' success. Both her group classes and private lessons are well thought out, planned, and prepared to be tailored to her students' skill levels, goals, and needs while they maximize mastery of steps and skills that can be immediately integrated into their dance repertoires. She is intuitive, insightful, and responsive in the moment in ways that allow her to spontaneously pivot to ensure that her classes meet her students where they are and have maximum benefit, value, and results. I love working with Robbie and am so grateful to be on this dance journey with her!

Zoe is incredible! I could never do Barre. I had tried various studios and they were all so boring! Enter Zoe's "Barre Burn" class - it is challenging, awesome and such fun! Zoe encompasses all the traits of a perfect and top tier fitness instructor - she makes the class stimulating and engaging and she brings an upbeat, positive and amazingly youthful energy to any class she instructs. Her music is top-notch, and she pays close attention to your form, so you're feeling that great muscle burn in all the right places. She ends her class with a yoga type appreciation/gratitude exercise, and I walk out of Zoe's classes feeling like I am floating on CLOUD 9. She just has that effect. I have also taken several private fitness and ballet classes with Zoe and she exudes vibrance, professionalism, high energy and fitness knowledge. She is very attuned to my needs and problem areas in my body/ technique difficulties. An overall amazing instructor for both group and private classes!

John is exceptional dancer teacher whether you are a beginner or an advanced dancer. And, he's a nice guy too! His classes and private lessons are entertaining and super instructive. I run a local nonprofit that brought John in to teach people dance lessons and the next day I received phone calls and emails from the dancers saying how much they enjoyed John's class, even though we didn't ask for any feedback at all!

I've taken salsa lessons twice a week for the last month from Impulso Salsa and can not recommend them enough. I've learned so much and have the confidence to dance in a real world setting now. The classes are fun, informative and a great way to get exercise.

I took a dance class with my son where we met Andi. He was our dance teacher who was friendly, professional, and made us feel comfortable. He has good people skills and created a comraderie between his students. We all seemed excited about returning to class each week. Andi was always punctual, actually early for each class, showed general enthusiasm when greeting each of his students. He seemed to value us as we did him and I not only speak for when I say I would definitely sign up for additional classes for myself and son but I truly believe our classmates will agree. The value of this dance class is immeasurable. I still do not dance well, admittedly, but I am much better in social circles. I can thank Andi Ahmad for that. Best of luck to you always Andi. If I ever meet a person who would like to take dance lessons, you will be highly recommended.

I had a private beginners lesson with Monica. I so appreciated her instruction with my level. She helped by placing pillows anytime a move was difficult. It was great to listen to her voice. Her space is peaceful. I plan to continue taking private lessons. Gracias Monica!

Location is the main reason I walked into Aston Ballroom Dance Studio. I keep returning for more dance lessons because Aston has inspired my desire to learn how to move to music. Anyone can teach you steps (1-2-1-2) but Aston taught me how to feel the music and follow the man's lead. He worked with me and met me when my schedule was crazy and hectic. I live in Houston and when I visited San Antonio, I would schedule lessons to learn from the best. He made me feel confident as I was learning more difficult movements. Learning from him was fun and easy. My husband has been a ballroom dancer for many years and I surprised him one evening with my new movements :-) He quickly acknowledged my new ability to follow his lead and complimented me on my body posture (which Aston reinforced daily). I highly recommend Aston if you're looking for a professional, fun instructor.

    About

I am a great dancer and teach anyone how to dance. I love to dance -- it's my life and I would trade it for nothing.

    About

I prefer to view a dance space much like an artist's canvas, where objects within a dance space can be utilized; like an artist would manipulate different mediums in creating a work of art. Where most dance instructors prefer to make regular use of a studio setting alone, I prefer to make use of a myriad of dance spaces which allows for more creative flexibility and experimentation.

Adults who want to learn to dance, whether to prepare for a wedding or to meet new people, often enjoy taking dance lessons from an experienced dance instructor. Instructors may offer classes one-on-one to individual students or couples, or to small groups. The national average cost for a dance instructor ranges from $30 to $50. Some studios offer a discounted introductory lessons or group lessons, as well as package deals that are more affordable than paying for individual lessons.
