Barbara at Austin Event Studio was EVERYTHING you could want in a wedding date of coordinator and more! She was extremely responsive in the wedding planning process, and even though she was only hired as a day-of coordinator, she was willing to help me with some of the more difficult decisions leading up to the wedding. She truly went above and beyond. Barbara was always an EXTREME pleasure to work with and her experience as a wedding coordinator truly shows! Leading up to the big day, she attended a final vendor meeting with my mother and I, and questions prepared for each of the vendors to iron out any wrinkles in the schedule. Then, she provided a detailed schedule (down to the minute!) for the actual wedding day. She was in contact with each of the individual vendors herself and reviewed all the contracts to make sure nothing had been missed. On the day of the wedding, her and her lovely assistant help to set up the tables, coordinate the vendors, and just make sure that everything was going as scheduled. There was so much to do that I know that without the help Barbara and her assistant, there is no way that everything would have gotten finished on time for the ceremony. I give the highest recommendation for Barbara at Austin Event Studio. HER PRICES ARE UNBEATABLE! I am talking, people were charging FIVE TIMES as much for the same services and not-so-hot reviews. when i was planning my wedding i realized "hey, i need help"! As most of us do in this day and age i turned to facebook lol I (jokingly) stated "can i just hire a wedding planner! Low and behold i had a response, and it said yes you can! I was given Shalamar's contact information. My initial thought was, no way! i cant afford a real wedding planner, but when i had my first meeting with Shalamar i was pleasantly surprised. The cost was within my budget for what i needed ( i only needed day of coordination) and my first impression of her was ... comfort... she put my mind at ease, very attentive to what I wanted and how i wanted everything. She asked questions, as many as she had to and took notes! I knew i was going to be ok! Most brides know we want things how we want things and when we cant be there to overlook things it is extremely stressful. Shalamar helped take that stress off my shoulders. She was there front and center for rehearsal and taking notes as to who belongs where and with who. Day of wedding she was at the church even before i was, and made sure flowers were in place and people were in place. My bouquet was wrong, wrong and wrong, well she found the flower lady and had her fix it. easy fix but for a bride its the end of the world lol. When we got to the venue, again, she was already there and everything was in its place. The last minute items i had for her were put where i wanted. She had a schedule and was on it! She made sure everything went as it should, even had her assistant to help, because as you know one person can not be in 2 places at once! She made things even easier for us when she made sure she got our gifts into our vehicle before the end of the night. All in all she was the best facebook response i ever got! I am so very glad i had the opportunity to hire her! She was on point and for a person like me, pick, she was my perfect fit! Loved having our wedding here, and I highly recommend the in-house catering. We had a stellar buffet that more than satisfied all of our guests, and we had people telling us months down the road that they loved it. It was great working with Helen and getting all of our ideas out. She really made our dream wedding come true!

We hired Hailey to help with day of coordination for our 100-person wedding on March 31, 2018. Even before our wedding day Hailey was so much more than a day-of-coordinator and helped out so much. She spent time thinking about logistics and walking us through what we would need and the things we hadn't considered yet and we were very thankful for her insight. We were particularly impressed with how she handled our rehearsal since we had a very large wedding party (16 members) and a large family to wrangle in. It was clear that she knew what she was doing. There were a few minor hiccups on the day of but overall she is 100% worthy of hiring as a wedding coordinator.

There aren't enough words to describe how wonderful Jane is! Having her be part of our day was one of the best wedding planning decisions we made. As gay women, choosing vendors who made us feel comfortable was even more important to us. When we first met Jane she didn't even bat an eye at two ladies marrying each other. We had already had the majority of our planning set, but Jane was there when we were flipping out or when plans fell through. Specifically, we had planned an outdoor ceremony in the park, but hurricane Patricia vetoed that. Jane jumped right in during our wedding weekend and came up with a plan B and made sure all of our vendors knew what was going on so my wife and I could enjoy our weekend with our out-of-town guests. Jane really was incredibly invaluable!
Amanda was a fantastic coordinator for my very DIY wedding! I thought I could handle everything myself, but as the date approached and I was completely overwhelmed, Amanda came to the rescue. We met several times to make sure things would go smoothly across all of our various venues and she kept the communication lines open. She was organized, thorough, and wonderful to work with. Even when there was a glitch with the sound equipment, Amanda kept things moving and made the night perfect. We couldn't have done it without her!
We couldn't have asked for a better experience. Evelyn helped us plan our wedding and served as a day of coordinator. Working with our limited budget she was able to create a truly memorable night. Her personality and work ethic will set you at ease. She was easy to collaborate with. Everybody knows how strenuous a wedding can be but Evelyn's attention to detail alleviated our stress. This October we will be celebrating our one year anniversary and will be looking back fondly on our special day.
Maegan planned my baby shower and it turned out wonderful! The decorations she made were awesome. I gave her my theme and colors and she ran with it. She took charge and made it happen. I highly recommended her for any party. Thanks Maegan!
I was a very "hands off" bride as I was accepted into law school after my husband and I already set our wedding day. Emmetria connected us with a fabulous caterer (Queenie's Delectable Delights) and super awesome photographers (Mia & Taffy). I needed a wedding planner that could literally just tell me when to show up and what to do (especially after I learned that my midterms were scheduled to begin the Monday AFTER my wedding weekend). We had a fabulous wedding. I am still getting compliments from our guests on the fact that our ceremony and reception were so well coordinated. I went "bridezilla in reverse" because I was so apathetic about the details of my wedding the closer the date approached. I had to step away from 95% of the planning 60-days out from the date to prepare for my first semester of law school. I do not recommend starting law school and getting married at the same time; but, if you must, your wedding is safe with Emmetria. Also, we live in Houston and Emmetria lives in Austin. She drove to Houston for our initial consultation and after we hired her, I never felt like I was working with an out-of-town wedding planner. Ahh Emmetria, I know I gave her hell, but she was 100% professional from beginning to end. My husband and I had several "freak out" moments but Emmetria let our irrational moments of insanity slide right off her shoulders.

Veronica blew me away! I did hourly consultations with her for my wedding, and she brought my attention to details I had never even thought of. Veronica is an excellent communicator, and from the moment I started speaking with her my planning process became smoother. We discussed budget, vendors, layout, staffing, and décor. I was especially impressed with her vendor recommendations, which removed the stress of spending hours online reading reviews and looking through websites.
