After having continuous employment for decades, I found myself back in the job market. I had a resume - but it was poorly written and far from up to date. I looked for a professional resume writer to help. I responded to at least 7 advertisements on multiple forums by both email and completing web contact forms on their websites. Maria was extremely prompt in responding to my inquiry. In no time we had our first call and I sent her a copy of my existing resume. I had her 1st draft for my review that evening. We discussed a few edits and the final copy was delivered the following day. I was so impressed I asked her about updating my LinkedIn page. Same great service..... she had me looking like a million bucks in just a day. Check around, view samples of others work and pricing then compare to Maria. Better work. Better price. Great service and a pleasure to deal with. I highly recommend Maria and GreenLight 2 Career.

Hello, I met Ms. Johnson through a mutual friend who knew I needed assistance with marketing my brand. Very nice and professional with solid references. Ms. Johnson helped me increase user traffic on my official website, which increased revenue for my business. Its hard to find honest, and hard working people with a great work ethic!! She even provided me tips on how to manage my marketing strategy. This meant a lot to me because many people just want your money. She educated me, and now I use Ms. Johnson for my Accounting and Administrative work projects too! I don't have to call multiple people to handle different areas of work. I call Ms. Johnson, she specializes in mutiple fields. Thank you, Ms. Wiggins

Faye is an awesome tutor! She helped me write my personal statement essay for the optometry school application process. We worked on 2 essays and completed both in a matter of one and a half weeks. She is very flexible and was ready to work with my hectic schedule. She is very sincere and it is clear she enjoys her line of work. I personally love my essays, because I wrote them. I one-hundred percent believe in my story depicted in my personal statement. Faye isn't like other tutors, where she will output an essay after a consultation; rather, she works with you to make sure the story is coming from within. Faye is especially useful in that she has an interview process to get out all the ideas from the writer, and helps to translate that into a written answer. I thoroughly enjoyed and definitely benefited from her consultation services, and would highly recommend her!

Louis was great from the initial estimate to brainstorming our ideas right through to the final product. I have worked with a couple of designers and Louis really did go out of his way to make sure that I was happy with my brochure. Julia the content writer was fantastic and reworked my wording completely and pitched me some fantastic ideas. I'm now on project number 6 with them for my business. It's crucial for a small business (any business) to have a design team in their pocket.

We needed a creative look (logo, stationary, website) for nonprofit that was unique. We selected QIG based on their experience and cost. They helped us develop the content and guided us to Guidestar for additional NPO marketing. We are pleased with the project's outcome. We refer them every time someone comments on how professional our brand looks. Pleased to work with them.

I hired Ed De La Garza to edit my most recent novel. From the very first contact he showed an interest in adding value to the project. Not just with his words - with his actions. He never treated it or me as if this was just one of many projects. He worked late into the night to help me meet my deadline. He knew it was important to me and so he made it important to him. As a result he not only checked spelling and grammar and typos and punctuation but went the extra mile - he checked facts and questioned aspects which helped me tighten the story and helped to make it a better read. He was neither the lowest bidder nor the highest bidder - he was fair and honest and in my opinion, that is what counts. I plan to call upon him again and again. He is the kind of professional that I think could work his way through any obstacle. I would recommend him highly to any writer without reservation. On a scale of one to five he is well past ten! I've reached out to Dr. Salem several times in the past and continue to do so as I move forward in my career. He has advised and helped me stay focus and level minded in my path of medicine. He's an amazing life coach who has helped me solve my problems rather quickly. He gives you the exact steps to move forward in your life. I often find it difficult to balance my social, academic, and personal life. I can always contact Dr. Saleem, either via text or phone, and he guides me to the right path! I live in NJ but it's very easy for me to reach out to him whenever I need. Sometimes in life its hard to stay positive but I've learned that sometimes its the most important thing. If you need some clarification in any aspect of your life, do not hesitate to contact him. You won't be disappointed!

David wrote a terrific essay for me. I'm a busy CEO of a company and hadn't written anything significant since graduating college 25 years ago. I needed to tell a good short story for a critical audience, but lacked the expertise. David interviewed me, researched my industry and audience and wrote a compelling , concise, easy to read piece that captured my essence. He took a very detailed approach which he leveraged into an exemplary essay He suggested we meet face to face to understand my history, background and the core values of my enterprise. He asked many detailed questions using a friendly conversational approach. It was like hanging out with an old friend I hadn't seen in some time. The essay exceeded my expectations. Hence I highly recommend David for your writing, editing and even problem solving/analytical needs.

How do you hire a good grant writer?

Grants are available to nonprofit organizations, for-profit businesses that qualify for government grants, and individuals who qualify for foundation or government grants. Hiring a good grant writer can help you gain funding in your chosen field. According to the American Grant Writers’ Association, grant writers can help you research potential grant opportunities; write grant proposals, create budgets, and build budget narratives; review written materials before you submit; prepare a business plan; analyze your organization for grant competitive qualities; prepare research grants; help with 501(c)(3) applications for nonprofits; and more. Investing in the right grant writer could result in a financial win for your organization. Generally no licenses or certificates are required to be a good grant writer, but you may want to find a grant writer who has been certified (not just received a certificate of completion) by a reputable organization such as the Grant Professionals Certification Institute. Qualities to look for in a good grant writer include:

    • Proven success writing winning grants, especially in your target area.
    • Strong writing skills.
    • Strong math skills and demonstrated proficiency with budgeting.
    • Careful attention to detail — brilliant grant proposals may be rejected just for formatting errors, so you want someone who follows instructions explicitly.
    • Expertise in your target area.
    • Punctuality and good communication skills.

How much does a grant writer cost?

Hiring a grant writer can give you a competitive edge when applying for financial grants for your business or nonprofit organization, or as an individual. The cost to hire a grant writer can vary depending on their academic background, areas of expertise, previous grant writing success and years of experience. According to the Grant Professionals Association, grant writers should be paid hourly or by flat fee. It is unethical for a grant writer to accept a commission or percentage compensation of grant monies received. They can, however, be awarded bonuses in line with the hiring company’s prevailing practices. Here are some examples of average grant writing fees:

    • Hourly rate for grant writers with less experience or fewer grants awarded: $25-$35 per hour.
    • Hourly rate for grant writers with some degree of success: $35-$75 per hour.
    • Hourly rate for grant writers with proven success winning large grants: $75-$150 or more per hour.
    • For a smaller grant, the writer may charge a flat fee of $200-$500 for preparation and submission.

Pricing may also vary based on the complexity of the grant application. A federal grant that requires pages of research, budgets and a business plan may take more than 30 hours to prepare. For a high-level grant writer who charges $100 per hour, this means $3,000 or more in grant writing fees.

Most grant writers will provide you with a total cost estimate before agreeing to the work. You may be required to pay a deposit up front, or the grant writer may work from a retainer. Often, seasoned grant writers pay for themselves in the long run by writing successful grants.

Hire skilled professionals for absolutely everything.
