What did Shannon Day help you with? Where was the job? How long did it take? - 14x16 patio. Slated for late June with multiple weather and internal business delays through July. What impressed you about the service? Did Shannon Day go above and beyond? Was Shannon Day on time? How was the quality of the work? - I was not impressed with anything. It was stressful, and I just wanted it over with. What would have improved your experience? What went wrong, if anything? How could Shannon Day do better in the future? - I discontinued any further work by this contractor/sub contractor. My experience was stressful. The subcontractor was rude. They were not timely and often exhibited some internal miscommunication that often delayed the completion of the project. When repairs/cleaning needed to be done, they encountered further internal issues with subcontractors arriving unannounced. I terminated any further dealings with this contractor without full completion of the job and am left with concrete chunks in my backyard and a slab in need of a repair. The contractor did reply and say he was "saddened" by my decision but based on our conversation earlier that day I'm not sure why he would be surprised. It is only so much someone can take. My advice to future clients/contractor: Do your part and do it in excellence. Client care is everything! Make it a priority to ensure the client experiences optimal service as potential projects could be in the future. Clients: Know when to end a relationship and be your own contractor by being there when jobs are being completed especially in your home. It will save you the heartache in the end. Having had other projects completed at my home, I should have known better. This was by far my most stressful experience, and I am better for it. While I wish this contractor well, I would never recommend them. I had 3-4 neighbors highly anticipating the completion to hopefully contract with them, but we are now banning together to go with someone else. Of course, there are two sides to every story, and I'm sure the contractor would say differently. Nonetheless, best of luck to all!

As I stated to Mrs. Buerkie we will do whatever is necessary to correct any problems to her satisfaction and this warranty still stands any time in the future. Yes, we encountered many rain delays and I am experienced enough to know that pouring concrete with any chance of rain is taking a risk. I did this after Buerkie's continued request to get the job done. The evening of the pour it rained and left what she calls " chunks of concrete ". It did leave the concrete unsightly and in need of repair. My sub contractor showed up to make the repair and she would not allow us to do the work. I kept in close communication with Buerkie through out the rain delay's and rescheduling of the pour. It is extremely difficult to get 3 yards of concrete during the summer months when concrete suppliers are over booked. Delivery dates for concrete are two weeks before they will deliver. Mrs. Buerkie does not understand this and not being in the construction business I do not expect her to understand - I explained this to her many times. She was frustrated and I understand her frustration. In retrospect I should have over communicated with Buerkie. Not allowing us to finish the job, which would have taken two hours to repair, I can only surmise that she never intended to pay the remainder of the balance owed. Even though I was not paid in full I will still repair any issues she has with the concrete with no payment expected.
