My wife and I, have had two occasions to work with Gary Baker. The first was after Hurricane Ike when we had damage to our roof. Mr. Baker had our entire roof removed and replaced in a day and a half. The second was after a kitchen fire which damage our cabinets, countertops and floor. After the fire remediation company had cleaned our home, Mr. Baker had our cabinets redone, new countertops throughout including a ceramic tile bar and new flooring competed within a week. Mr. Baker also went out of his way to meet with the insurance adjuster and work with them directly, to allow us to focus on putting our lives back together. Both my wife and I are very pleased with the work Mr. Baker has completed for us and if ever we need work done again, we would not hesitate to contact him.

Our remodel turned out great. Gary does an outstanding job prepping and cleaning up. We've received great compliments especially for our stairs. I have recommended Gary to several friends.

My husband and I wanted a small roof addition added onto our patio. We thought that Gary was a sincere and by the reviews, we agreed to pay him one half of the proposal. It took him several days to bring the materials, had excuses why he wasn't coming, and he had to ask another contractor working at my house help him unload. Since he told me that the project would take 30 days to complete and now 12 days have past since the contract was signed, and no new construction has been started and on the structure and only the existing sheetrock has been taken down (the roof, framing and hardiplank stills remains). Very frustrated in his progress, we called him and told him we'd like to talk about the project and also stated that if this was too big of a job for him, we understood and we'd like to pay him for the materials (bring the receipts) and his time he had put into this project. We priced the materials through the same vendors he told us where the materials were purchased, and they don't come close to the amount of money we paid him upfront. We agreed to meet and discuss this. The following day when we were to meet. I arrived at my house to find him sitting in his truck with his tools already loaded, and I was greeted with another bill for $480.00. He told me he had planned on coming to work today with help. I really don't believe that since he never mentioned that when we talked several days prior to this meeting.After repeated calls.....no response. The type of contractor that Gary is.... gives contractors a bad name. If you want to be out 3000.00 for materials costing less half this amount, and be presented an additional bill..... and not to mention a heap of sheetrock trash....then call him.
....Very disappointed ...

I have been in this business over 45 years never left a job until finished. This customer told me Saturday that she didn't want to proceed. I very well could have done this job in 30 days. I see you failed to mention that we have have 4 days of very heavy rain In the last 9 days I signed contract the night of the 9th. She thinks that her ending the contract doesn't matter. I thought 480.00 above the original deposit was nicely trying to settle and move on. Now you make slanderous statements when I told you 4 times I would still finish.

Gary gave us a very quick response and very reasonable quote. He came to our house within 3 days of our request and installed our bathtub the same day. We are very pleased and will be using him for other projects we have coming up in the near future.

Mr. Baker painted my garage. It was very nice to find someone that would do it for an afordable price and do it nicely. He came over to do the job by himself and yet was done within a few hours. Very happy with his job. Would definitely use him again.
