Introduction: We are an all American-run and operated landscape and lawn care provider. I have been in business since 1986, and have over 25 years of lawn and landscaping experience. I am dedicated to customer service and the type of quality workmanship you can rely on week after week. We want you as a customer for however long you don't want to do the yard work yourself and will do what ever it takes to keep your business. Our services include not only mowing services but also lawn fertilizing, lawn aeration, and disease and insect control applications. We install mulch, sod, seasonal flowers, plants and rock borders. Need sprinkler repairs or installation? We do that also. We can work with what you have in mind, or create a landscape design for you. Do you need sod work done? Due to our excellent resources, we can deliver and install at a cost most others can't come close to. We have references if you need them, and pictures of landscape jobs completed. We have been clients of Detail Lawns since it's inception in '86. Gary has always been the backbone of his company - someone you can depend on to get your job completed on time and within budget. The work is always top notch and I have never had a complaint. Now that we are called "senior citizens", Gary has been a great help in several areas we used to take care of ourselves, but no longer care to be bothered with them. I will recommend him to anyone looking for good work and even better support.

Wow! When I bought my new home several months ago it had been in forclosure and the lawn was dead, the trees were dying, and the shrubs were dead. Gary came out the same evening I called. Since he was the first lanscaper to give me a bid, I decided to get two more. That's the WOW! Not only was his bid lower by several hundred dollars, he had offered to do much more than the others! A week later he and his crew sodded my lawn, trimmed and fertilized my trees, planted new shrubs along the driveway and in front of the house. He basically reserrected my property. I highly recommend Detailed Lawns of Houston to everyone. Thanks!

Lawn maintenance is our most common job. The next common job is landscaping. Design and installation. I really enjoy creating a beautiful landscape. It gives me a great deal of inner satisfaction knowing I've created something people appreciate.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Make sure the company you hire for lawn services is professional. Do they have references can they show you? Pictures of completed landscape jobs? Do they know how to treat fungus and insects that can destroy your lawn. How often do they sharpen their lawn mower blades? How and how often do they communicate with you. Are their employees trained and are they legally permitted to work in the United States.
