Halo Services connected my new under-mount kitchen sink to the drain lines using new piping, a new garbage disposal, and my kitchen faucet. Halo was on time, completed work in a timely manner, and was thoughtful to leave additional pipework to accommodate a water filter system. Additionally, if any issues come up with what was installed, Halo will address them and do so quickly. Halo Services is very knowledgeable and I would recommend his services.

My first contact with Geovanny was great.. he responded fast to my inquiry and was able to change around his schedule bc we had an urgent issue. I hired Geovanny to unclog a drain that was causing lots of water on my home, but once he got inside the drain there was soo much more work needed and he stayed and finished the job. I felt he was commuted. He was honest and upfront about the pricing and did fast and thorough work. He was even ok with my dogs being out while he worked! I will definitely hire him for the next few projects that we have coming up!

Ramez fixed my drain issue with in 4 hours from the time I put in my project request. He arrived at the time he said he would and charged the estimate he gave me. He made sure the drain was flowing and leak free. I would recommend him for any clogged kitchen drains. His price was also $40-85 less from other quotes I received here and elsewhere. Thank you!

David does it "right." This is something I find very similar to everything that I do. I live and die by doing things right, even if it takes longer. When you are a professional, meaning you get paid for working on something, you must do it "right." This is like painting the back-side of the fence when no one is looking. When I see that David is following the same model, it gave me the assurance that David is the man for the job. And to be frank, plumbing is not cheap, it's hard to trust someone you don't know, to do work under neath the slab of your house, to run pipes or to break walls; so you have to be really careful in selecting a plumber to work on your house. If you don't, a half-ass minor repair will result with a major leakage in the future. And by that time, who you gonna call? Ghost Busters? So choose carefully. I have a good feeling about David because he built his trust to me over a number of occasions from our meetings. David always call me "sir". I think this goes a long way because it represents professionalism. David pulled a permit for the plumbing, which is the right thing to do. To many others, don't go cheap on this. You need to pay for the permit and get the city inspector to inspect and ensure that the work being worked on your house is correct and up to code. After all, it is your house, it is your investment. Back to David, he always respond to a text or call. There was a time that David showed up and it rained, but he managed to put some good amount of work in, digging the trench, while soaking in the rain. I like that, it just shows responsibility and maintaining your promises in showing up and putting in the work. When the work is complete, David performed a "hydrostatic" test to ensure that there is no leaks. My previous foundation people did not even do that, they skimmed on this and said that they wanted to "save me money". At that time, I did not know what a hydrostatic test is. After speaking to David, I now learned what it is. So do a hydrostatic test, because it is your house. All in all, I'm happy with David's work. I wish him good luck in his future endeavors. If David build this, or has built this, tradition into his business, I have no doubt that he will be successful down the years. After all, in business, you gotta have trust. 9/11/2017, N.V. from Sugar Land, TX.

I had a problem with a toilet that was spraying water out of the top of the tank after each flush, even when the tank was securely closed with its matching lid. It is a very unusual type of toilet having a combination bowl and tank. PoMan correctly diagnosed the problem, special-ordered the parts, and returned to install the parts in a timely and professional manner. I highly recommend PoMan Plumbing to fix your plumbing problems.

We wanted to replace an existing bathtub with a shower but the drain didn't line up so we had to call a professional. The plumbing in our old house was old and some not up to building codes. We hired Kenneth with AAM & Associates to install the shower. He had to re-route the drain, relocate the supply lines, locate the sewer drain and install a clean out AND he created an entire full bath for us that we didn't think we could afford until we saw the quote Kenneth gave us for the work. We LOVE our new bathroom--even the pipes behind the walls look great. Kenneth is a real professional. I would recommend him to anyone in need of plumbing repairs or a bath or kitchen renovation or new install. He's a really nice guy too.

I've used Mike at Shoreview Plumbing on 3 occasions. 1- I had a leak in my waste water drain. Mike was out quickly and repaired the pipe. 2- I was selling my house and the water heater needed updated connections. Shoreview was out the same day, even though it was not an emergency, and updated the connections expertly. 3- The gas water heater in my new house was not properly vented and I could smell gas in the house. Mike was out immediately and installed a vent and made sure everything was safe for me and my family. Mike and Shoreview Plumbing are fast, friendly and very knowledgeable!! I will recommend them to anyone needed a plumber!

Mr. Kirk came out to my residence to install a new hot water heater that I had purchased. He communicated his ETA and estimated labor hours very effectively and honestly. He was sure to let me know when he believed someone thing may take longer and provided a qualified honest reason why. Mr. Kirk provided what I would call “white glove” service and left no trace of his presence upon his departure. He was even kind enough to “haul away” the old hot water heater at no additional cost. I will surely be using Mr. Kirk again for other plumbing related needs I have such as new faucets and poorly draining drains and help with a poorly installed (not by Mr. Kirk) sprinkler system. Overall Mr. Kirk is a honest, hard working individual who knows his stuff and is willing share his knowledge and get the job done right first time.

Manny is awesome and extremely knowledgeable about anything plumbing related. We actually had drain issues with our sewer (on the driveway) and Manny came out, used a camera to inspect it, and gave us such helpful information about what needs to be done next. His price is extremely reasonable, and very helpful for those on a tight budget. He is professional, polite, friendly, and again, very knowledgeable about what he does. I highly recommend Aqua Long Plumbing for anyone who needs a reputable, trustworthy company!

I was responsible for putting down my own grass but Allen put in my culvert and drains and prepared my yard to be able to lay grass and finally have a beautiful back yard again. My yard was a handful. We had some hiccups so it took longer than expected but he got through the obstacles and finished it with great results. For a company just getting started I think all and all he did a great job. I can FINALLY enjoy my backyard. The first picture is how my yard looked before any work was done. The second picture is the same location as the first picture after it was done. The third picture is one of the two drain he put into the culvert and the last picture is where he was laying the culvert pipe.

Gaona's did an excellent job. I needed someone to come unhook a dishwasher drain that the shutoff valve was frozen on. Marcus came quickly and while there my remodeler found a plumbing issue with a pipe needing moved in a wall he had removed. Guano said he would be happy to come reroute it the next day which was a Saturday. Wow! He came right on time and fixed the issue. His rates were very reasonable. I plan to hire him again. Very nice, prompt and knowledgable.

Professional, timely, and excellent communication! My shower drain was clogging up frequently. James came out and was able to find the problem....nails! Apparently the builders allowed nails to go down the drain and did not take them out. He was able to remove them all and my drain has worked perfectly since. Will definitely use again!

Q & A

Answers to commonly asked questions from the experts on Thumbtack.

What are plumbers and what do they do?

Plumbers are skilled professionals who are trained to install and maintain pipes and systems for drinking water, sewage and drainage. They usually have trained through four- to five-year training programs, which include apprenticeships, via trade schools and community colleges. Plumbers’ areas of expertise typically go beyond pipes to include mathematics, blueprint reading, plumbing codes and water distribution. They handle plumbing emergencies, such as broken pipes or clogged drains, and install and maintain everything from a new piping system to a replacement faucet. Plumbers also know how to install bathtubs and showers, toilets, water heaters and dishwashers. Plumbers may work on residential or commercial sites, sometimes designing and laying out a pipe system during construction.

How do you find a good plumber?

Whether you need a plumber to perform drain repair, install a new fixture, or replace rusty pipes, you need to make sure you hire someone reliable who will finish your job on time and within budget. Start by asking the plumbers on your short list these questions:

  • What is the total cost? Make sure your estimate includes materials and labor. Find out whether the plumber will be providing the materials and whether you’re being charged an hourly rate (which is variable) or a flat fee.
  • Is removal and cleanup included in the job? Some plumbers leave behind old parts, while others include the cleanup in the cost.
  • Is the work guaranteed? Find out whether the work (as well as the parts or fixtures) are guaranteed under a warranty.
