He was early enough to be at the place at the same time we got there. He was flexible and really sweet! He's really helpful and laid back too! I suggest Stephen to anyone needing a wedding officiant! He was outstanding!

Rev. Scott Kerschner was every thing we we're looking for in an officiant and then some. He helped to create a ceremony for our wedding on 10/08/16 that was prefect for us. He attended and ran our rehearsal dinner and showed up several hours early on the day of our wedding. He is very personable and professional. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for an officiant.

Mr. Wood was my teacher in high school and what always stood out to me was his attention to detail. He was very thorough and worked very hard to make his class memeorable. So when it came time to start planning my wedding, I knew that Mr. Wood would work hard to make our reception have the atmosphere we wanted. I am very very late posting this review, but since our wedding I have heard multiple times from both sides of the family- “That was the most fun I’ve ever had at a wedding”. I owe that to Mr. Wood! We wanted our guests to have a carefree time & they did! I always recommend Mr. Wood couples planning their wedding because he is incredibly professional, pays attention to detail, & very easy to communicate with! Thank you Mr. Wood for an unforgettable experience!

Mark called me and asked what colors I chose for my wedding so that he could coordinate with us. I thought that extra touch was great. :) He did a great job. He played everything we had requested and people were dancing everywhere. Several people came up to me and said I had done a good job in hiring Mark. Thank you Mark!!! Thank you for being a part of my wedding and for making it a memorable one!!!

Jamie Foley has made my senior pictures an amazing experience. Through willing to drive out to my spot of interest and creating the highlights of a big part of my life into pictures that my family will cherish forever, is just a small token of what I paid for. Hearing about Jamie's senior sessions via friends from school and how affordable she is made it a simpler choice during a stressful time (for us seniors, that is). I highly encourage Jamie as your photographer for any event that is important for you. Whether it is for a wedding, senior pictures, newborn pictures, or boudoir sessions, I encourage each client to challenge Jamie's talent to the fullest extent for a beautiful outcome. This is coming from a person who is not comfortable in their on skin, or definitely not the prettiest person, but her services enough transformed an artistic environment and made my portfolio awesome. Give her ideas and she will run with them; I would give her ten stars but there is only five. Check out her samples and see if Jamie is up to your standards. You will not be disappointed. When you chose her, I can not wait to to see your pictures (if you allow her to share them), in her samples! :)

I'm so glad we found Brittany to play at our wedding!! She was so easy to work with, and very responsive to our requests. She easily accommodated our special song requests, and helped us pick out other beautiful songs to fill the ceremony. She arrived at our venue on time and ready to play, and did so fantastically well. She is a very talented musician, and our guests commented on how much they loved the harp music; it was the perfect accompaniment to our wedding day. It was an excellent experience working with her - probably one of the easiest vendors we worked with in our wedding planning process overall. I would very highly recommend her for any wedding or other event, and would gladly hire her again.

Loved Memories did my daughters engagement, bridal, and wedding pictures. Our expectations were not only met but exceeded! They took time with the engagement and bridal pictures to get just the right lighting being that both shoots were taken outside. When we received the wedding pictures just going thru them took us back to the wonderful event... They caught all the special moments that we now will have for a lifetime! most of all my daughter ( the bride) Was overjoyed with all the pictures... That alone is priceless!!! I would most definitely recommend them for your special occasion! Thank you Loved Memories!!!

Elsa gave us the most amazing wedding ceremony. Our wedding planner even asked for her number afterwards because she was so good! She gave a beautiful sermon; so many of my family members complimented her to me afterwards. She really aims to give you the ceremony you want, and makes sure to ask the important questions to have a happy marriage beforehand. I can't recommend her highly enough.

    Q & A

Answers to commonly asked questions from the experts on Thumbtack.

What is a videographer and what do they do?

A videographer professionally films weddings and other events and edits the footage to create film keepsakes or marketing materials for their clients. Wedding videographers record all the key elements of your wedding day, ceremony and reception, and then edit the hours of film during post-production to make a wedding video, social media highlight reels, and any other film features you choose. Wedding videography captures, in live action, your vows, the cake-cutting, the first dance, reception toasts, the decor, the guests and all the details of your day. Many wedding videographers also interview guests (based on an interview list provided by the couple) and incorporate the recorded responses into the wedding video. Event videography typically costs less than wedding videography, as events are shorter with less detail. The national average cost for event videography is $500-$760, while the national average cost for wedding videography is $990-$1,260. A videographer usually does not need to be licensed, but it is important to confirm they have insurance and good standing in the business community, as well as good client reviews. A great majority of the work happens during post-production. The pros watch and blend together the hours of footage they took (sometimes from multiple cameras) to capture the story of your wedding day or event.

    What is a wedding planner?

A wedding planner is a professional service provider whose job it is to organize and execute all the details of a couple’s wedding. A wedding planner can be contracted at any stage in the wedding planning process to help to any degree the couple is willing to pay for. Wedding planning is similar to event planning in that a planning team handles the coordination of multiple wedding elements including catering, venue, guests, entertainment, decor, transportation and more. Anyone who has ever been involved in a wedding can confirm that wedding planning is hard work. Experience brings wisdom when it comes to avoiding or resolving day-of challenges. There is no legal regulatory body that oversees or certifies wedding planning as an industry. Anyone who chooses can call themselves a wedding planner. When looking for a wedding planner, be sure to read reviews, and make smart hiring decisions by asking about licenses and insurance.

How do you choose a wedding videographer?

A wedding videographer will create a lifetime memory for you from edited video footage of your wedding day, ceremony and reception. Choosing a wedding videographer starts with looking online at portfolios of their past work. There’s no need to talk to anyone unless you love what you see. Next, make sure they have good reviews and past client experience; don’t be shy about asking for references if there aren’t any posted online. When you find someone who has a style you love, ask if they are available on your wedding day. If so, it’s time to talk pricing. Be clear about your maximum budget, and ask what kind of packages they offer. Pricing will depend on the number of crew needed for filming, the hours they are required to be onsite, post-production editing, and the length of the final product. Talk with several wedding videographers to get a feel for what prices are like in your region. Nationally, the average cost for wedding videography ranges between $990 and $1,260 per event. Once you agree on a product and have a plan, get everything in a written and signed contract. Clearly state the details of what is expected for your wedding day and from the final product. Be prepared to pay a deposit to reserve their services for the day, then pay the remainder upon receiving the video.

What should you ask your wedding videographer before hiring?

Finding the perfect wedding videographer doesn’t have to be stressful. Asking a few key questions upfront will help you find the right fit for your big day. Before talking with wedding videographers, research their work online. Look at their websites, business profiles and social media, and see what their finished wedding videos look like. If the style fits what you’re envisioning, it’s time to reach out. During initial contact, make sure you get along with the person. This is important since they’ll be interacting with you and your guests.

Your first question should be about their availability; there’s no point in going further if they’re booked on your wedding day. Ask to see references if they’re not readily available online. Next, it’s time to talk about money. Ask how they determine rates or what kind of packages they offer. When you settle on a rate and the services you want, make sure to have a written contract that outlines everything, including cost, length of time they film, what post-production will include, and when you can expect to receive the edited project.

How much does it cost for a photographer for a wedding?

Finding the right wedding photographer can make a big difference for your ceremony. Nationally, the average wedding photographer’s price ranges from $800 to $1,000, but costs can be much higher in areas like Chicago, New York or Los Angeles where some couples spend $2,000 to $5,000 or more for the photographer they want. Factors that can affect your wedding photographer prices include the photographer’s reputation and experience. Heavy hitters can command top rates, especially during wedding-season weekends. Day of the week also affects your cost. You may get a $200 discount on wedding photographer prices if you get married on a Friday in November rather than a Saturday in June. Time onsite is also an important cost factor. Hiring a photographer to snap photos from the moment you wake up until after last call at the reception is going to cost more than five hours of pictures during the day. Multiple photographers, special lighting, and videography will also increase your costs. Ultimately you want to find someone who has a style you love and can provide the number of edited shots you want for a price you can handle. Learn more about hiring a wedding photographer.
