My project consisted of 2 different individuals from 2 different companies mainly because of distance and the inability to get the computer to the first one. I am greatful for both of them. Shawn with Atlas E-Works was the one who actually did the physical repair work on my computer. Like the previous technician who helped with diagnosing the issue (a hard drive failure), I can tell that Shawn also ensures it shows that he isn't just about the money but also cares about his customers. He was quick in his response as well, in my opinion, and while there was no immediate rush to get the job done as I had my phone and tablet, the repair was done in the most timely of manners. I'm certain it would have been quicker had additional parts not have been needed. Additionally when I posted about my issues, I'd mentioned I needed someone close that I could either get the computer to or have them come to me, the latter preferred due to my lack of transportation. Shawn definately went above and beyond with that one, both coming to pick the computer up and delivering it back to me once it was fixed. Additionally, the cost for all he did for me, I believe was quite affordable and I was quite happy with. Any other place, I'm sure would have charged far more than I was charged for everything that was done. This consisted of the hard drive being replaced which was provided for him (I have to say thank you to both Shawn and Harry for working together on this one to ensure I got the right part that was needed), windows being reinstalled, my photos and files being recovered (if at all possible), and of course coming to pick the computer up and bring it back to me once it was done. Again, I feel that Shawn went above and beyond on this one as well because not only was he able to recover the data from my old hard drive but he also ensured my windows updates were done rather than just putting windows 7 on the computer and letting me do all of the updates myself. I'd been led to believe prior that because my computer was an all in one it was not possible to actually replace parts such as the hard drive, graphics cards or memory. That definately is not the case! I would not have entrusted it to just anyone though and am very greatful to have been able to work with someone who knew what they were doing and had the knowledge to actually perform such a task without there being issues resulting from it, or further damage to the computer, for that matter. Atlas eWorks (Shawn in particular) definately knows what they're doing. I was quite impressed as well with the knowledge and professionalism in getting my job completed, and also with the fact that I was kept in the loop on the status of my repair. When a second part came up that was needed, Shawn was quick to let me know so we could get that taken care of and again he ensured I got the right part for the job (this time a cable that needed to be replaced as well that could have been part of the cause of my hard drive going out in the first place). All in all, I was very very happy with the work done on my computer and I'm quite happy to have it back, working again and at such an affordable cost from someone who definitely not only cares about his customers but also ensures he does the job above and beyond. Like the first technician who diagnosed what was wrong, with Atlas eWorks, I would give way more than 5 stars if I could! Atlas eWorks is a fantastic support company. Within minutes of typing my problem onto thumbtack, they responded with a quote and an idea of what the problem was. When I manage to make the time to contact them in return, I missed them, but quickly got a return call. We set up a time for that day and upon arriving the work immediately began. The gentleman fixing my computer was nice, smart, and knew what he was doing. The entire process took three hours, but he charged me for one and added a discount. This is the kind of business I can get behind. My computer is now working fantastically, if not better than before I messed it up.
