Introduction: My style is photo-journalistic; which means it is more like story telling. It's your story! I love capturing natural, candid shots of you as you interact with your loved ones. The result - beautiful portraits that allow others to see the real you! I am guided by the philosophy, "The most important thing is that you like what you do." I love what I do!! I have always loved taking pictures and capturing moments in time. Photography is my passion! I want each client to be as excited about having their important moments captured as I am capturing them. I have come to realize the true importance of capturing each step of our journey. There is no better gift to bestow on your family than pictures that will last beyond a lifetime. What an opportunity I have to help you capture your loved ones in photographs! I want to create memories - memories of life, love, joy, and laughter! I treasure the chance to help you capture your loved ones in portraits! Together we'll create memories that will last forever and that you will always be proud to share.

I absolutely love the imaginative outdoor settings Dawn used for my granddaughter's senior portraits. I'd never had a photographer take such time and attention to get the best pictures. She captured her personality perfectly. Thanks so much for these treasured memories of her senior year.

FAQs

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

Of course! I believe in continual learning. I attend trade shows, training classes, networking / brainstorming sessions, seminars, and much more.

  • How did you get started doing this type of work?

I am a fighter - I fought cancer for years. My business slowly grew as a result of my sickness; it was truly a labor of love. I kind of just fell into the photography business. I have always had a camera with me and have always loved capturing true life shots. I received my first camera for my 11th birthday and have been trading up to better and better cameras through the years. I won my first award for a picture when I was just 13 years old for "best use of lighting" for a photo that I just quickly snapped because I thought it looked cool. The most important things I have learned is to never give up and to treasure each moment! Life is a gift ... and I want to save a piece of it every single day!

  • Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

I recently did a party package for a family whose brother was recently diagnosed with terminal cancer. I surprised the family by giving them a CD with all of the images rather than limiting them.
