FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Illustrations and custom paintings are priced based on the intricacy, size and amount of time it will take. For a single piece, I collect payment up front. For a series of pieces, I collect half up front, and half when artwork is complete. For a children's book, payments are separated into three equal amounts when contract is signed, once sketches are approved, and when final artwork is complete. Painting lessons are priced based on the number of people attending. I teach lessons in beginner acrylic painting virtually and in person and I facilitate painting birthday parties for up to 10.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I will initially reach out via email or phone to understand the scope of the project.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I have been an artist for 20+ years, starting when I shadowed a mural painter as a young artist. I learned a lot from her, and I loved painting murals and have painted several in the past two decades. I got into digital illustration in the past five years, and I draw custom cartoon portraits, marketing illustrations for groups and I illustrate children's books - one of my favorite things to do! I have been teaching painting lessons for the past three years.
