Working with Samantha was (and is) a wonderful experience! She makes approaching finances so much less stressful and is able to take the "money shame" out of the process that we sometimes all feel when discussing money. She has a straight-forward, approachable, and is so knowledgable! We were able to hammer out a pretty solid financial plan for me to start implementing to get my personal finances on track. Its been a really good experience working with Sage Mountain! Sam does a fantastic job answering questions to the point where it all makes sense even the graphs/reports make sense and are easy to read. She has been great teaching me about my financials and helping me create a plan to reach my goals! As a Real Estate Agent I am always busy, it feels good knowing I don't have to stress about my books because Sam's on top of it and makes sure I'm inline with my goals. - What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?I prefer value pricing over hourly pricing. So I prefer to have a set price for the job instead of hourly. This is because I believe my client is asking me for a result. That's accurate financials. It doesn't matter to the client if it takes me 1 hour or 10 hours - the result is the same to the client. I usually need more information from the client to give a good quote on the work. Let's setup a time to chat about your project.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?First, we have an initial consultation where we get to know each other and the client's situation. This is where we determine if we are a good fit for each other. Second, we handle the basic setup items like paperwork and I collect any information that I need from the client. Most of it is stuff I do on my side. Third, I get to work and I regularly update the client on their project. And then I send them their financials!
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I have my masters and bachelors in accounting from Western Governors University. I also have my Quickbooks certification and my Financial Coaching certification. I've done bookkeeping since 2015 and I've spent the last 3 years preparing taxes. So my tax experience helps supplement my bookkeeping services because I know what the tax preparer needs.
