FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I try to offer flat fees on most of my services. For some services such as litigation, it will be based on an hourly rate of $225/hr.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
First and foremost I like to have at least a 30-45 minute consultation. This is good for me and the client. It gives the client the opportunity to see if our firm would be a good choice to work with and it also gives us some time to explore the client matter and see whether it is a good idea for us to take it on. We like to stay in our zone of excellence and if we can't do that, we will be happy to make a referral to another firm. For estate planning clients, we usually like to send out some questionnaires followed by an hour long or 2-hour sometimes design meeting where we will map out their estate plan through their life, incapacity, and after death. After the design meeting, our firm will start drafting the documents needed to accomplish the plan and collaborate with the client on getting additional details. 3-5 weeks after the design meeting we will have another meeting in the office to sign the documents. After the signing, we will record and transfers of real estate into the trust as well as additional funding documents. We will digitize the documents as well as put together the binder and confirmations of funding and present the documents to the client. Additionally, every 2 years we schedule a FREE estate plan review where we discuss any changes in law and the client tells us any changes in their circumstance.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Juris Doctorate in Law (graduate from law school) and have been doing estate planning, probate, and contracts for over 8 years.
