Working with Caden for our engagement pictures was amazing! He immediately helped us feel at ease during the process. Caden was prepared with different shots he had in mind as well as poses. I also had questions leading up to the engagement shoot and Caden responded promptly. At the beginning of our session the weather was calm and then the wind came. This didn’t deter his focus, he had other spots in mind for photos where the wind hit us less. I cannot recommend him enough!! If you’re looking for a photographer, this is your person!

Guys if you're looking for a wedding or engagement photographer, pick Kylee. She's got some great spots for photos scouted out, she's super professional and easy to work with. I was nervous of having to be around someone telling me what to do/how to pose/etc because it's just awkward, but Kylee was great. She also traveled a good 60 miles for our wedding, and the photos were incredibly priced and well worth it! Definitely recommend.

Caden was amazing to work with! I reached out last minute for engagement photos and he was able to schedule me for the most fitting time in my schedule. On top of great communication, the photos turned out BEAUTIFUL and were very affordable for the quantity and quality. He got the photos back to me sooner than projected which is always impressive. I highly recommend hiring Caden if you want the perfect Utah mountain photoshoot, or just any photoshoot :)

Working with David was such an honor. My fiancée and I were in Salt Lake City for 2 days to attend my cousin's wedding and I had the idea to take engagement photos at the Bonneville Salt Flats. I stumbled upon Thumbtack and subsequently David at Meppen Photography. He was well-within our price range and I loved the style of his photography. He was responsive when I reached out and I explained my situation. He suggested an alternative site closer to downtown that would give us the same effect as the Bonneville Salt Flats for our engagement photos due to our limited time in Utah. His suggestion saved us the hassle of renting a car and a bunch of time. He remained in contact with me throughout the week and the day of the shoot.
The day of the shoot, David texted me in the morning and arrived on time. He also drove me and my fiancée to the Great Lakes Park so we could get the reflection photos I wanted. He was such a delight to work with and he was willing to do anything to get the perfect shot. I felt like I could really trust him and I'm really glad that I did. David knows what he's doing and he incorporated many of the inspiration photos I sent him. As we walked to and from each site, my fianceé and I got to know David and not only is he a wonderful photographer, but he is a marvelous person.
Most importantly, David sent us our unedited photos within 2 hours of shooting and they are AMAZING. I am so happy that we worked with him for our engagement shoot and would jump at the chance of working with him again. Thank you again for everything David!

My fiancé and I had a specific vision in mind for our engagement photos and Kylee did an incredible job making it all happen! We both went into the photo session thinking we'd be a bit awkward as we had never taken pictures together before but Kylee made it fun for us both, suggested poses, had us laughing, and the pictures turned out better than we could have ever imagined. I loved working with Allie on our engagement photos! This was my first experience using Thumbtack and I was very pleased. She was easy to communicate with, sent a useful style guide that helped us decide what to wear, and stuck to the types of poses we liked. She has a few editing styles (all gorgeous) and asked my opinion on which one I liked better, and was able to use both depending on which I preferred for each photo. The best part was that she sent our edited photos to me within about 48 hours of our shoot! I highly recommend choosing Allie for any of your photography needs, and I'll use her again if I need any more :)

We are southerners who were visiting Salt Lake City for New Years, while on our trip we got engaged and were looking for a photographer to shoot a special time in our lives, which is when we found Brittany at Pine and Peony Photo and can I say OH MY WORD!!! Brittany went above and beyond our expectations, she was so easy going and easy to work with, and even made our awkwardness, not so awkward. I could not be more pleased to have worked with Andy from Story by Light photography, from beginning to end. I have been continually impressed with his dedication to his craft and creative style. He produced photographs for us that exceeded our expectations and left us not only totally satisfied but thrilled with the results. He also made the outdoor photo shoot of my fiancee and I--neither of us models nor veterans to being in-frame--a comfortable, enjoyable, memorable, and even informative experience.
Andy listened to my input and took the few ideas I had for the "look" of our engagement photos and completely created it for us. I was amazed both by what he was able to capture in-camera on sight during our shoot and what he was able to augment and create in the post-processing phase of editing a few of our favorite photos. I'm certain that even clients without a concrete idea of the look they'd like for their images would benefit from his flexibility, creativity, and keen eye for lighting and color.
Andy is a gifted photographer and was a joy to work with. He created the look we wanted with obvious ease, and I would hire him again for our shoot in a heartbeat. We really enjoyed our experience through and through!
